Yudai's still fighting, he just can't fight in Koshien anymore because he's no longer in high school. Quite honsetly, I can't see Hiroya dominating anyone in the tournament. "Training in thailand" hasn't done much good for him as his last performances prove.

He belongs to a high school at least. He's under 18 which is whats necessary (Yudai is too old).
And you talk as if doing karate is a bad thing. They aren't attending the stupid Mcdojos that sprung up in the US. They're shin-karate (which is basically kickboxing in gi) and kyokushin guys. They're hardly any joke, and as Hiroya's matches against them prove, they're more than a match for him even without thai-training.
I've been dissing on Hiroya all this time, but I should maybe mention I think the other kids look retarded too? I mean, ther'es a reason why I think it's sett up for him to win, like it OBVIUSLY was last year, some of the kid's stand up is a joke
It's set up in the sense that Hiroya is meant to win and is favored by judges. But it took all the favoritism K-1 could offer to get him the crown. These "after school karate kids" are more than a match for the Thai-trained Hiroya, no joke at all.

@suriya883 Hiroy trained /trains in Bangkok, in the same gym as Anuwat and Bovy.
same training regime as the thais, so no reason for a thai to be better
