  • Yes it has screen capture

  • When does the galaxy nexus for Sprint comes out.

  • I'm getting this phone when my upgrade gets here in May.

  • @McNeill2425 same here mine is may first

  • LINK amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B007AJC8GI/wireless-cat-20

    Product Description

    Samsung Galaxy

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus (White) , also known as the Nexus Prime, is the latest Google Phone offering and the very first handset to run Google Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). Of course, it s not just the software features, but also the hardware features of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus ...

For more details please copy the Amazon link above in your browser

  • i see you live in fairfiew

  • i like your fingers

  • Does anyone know if you can SCREEN CAPTURE pics like the iPhone? Without being rooted? Let me know please!

  • I'm wanting this phone really bad. But I already have a sprint contract. I have 200 dollars right now toward this phone. What can I do?

  • this phone is light in my pocket i be in class and i have to feel my pocket to make sure that its still there.

  • @ashton3002 lol i always think i lost mine

  • TheGello777 the search button comes in pretty handy actually. When n any program or the homescreen u can long press it & it brings up a shortcut for voice functions as well as quick settings from the market. I use it quite a bit.

  • @deliveryboy1 Another thing different is the epid touch comes w/an option to change the screen saturation from movie mode which tones down the saturation quite a bit up to dynamic which is overly saturated. No biggy because u can download screen adjust from the market anyway.

  • Thank you for uploading this video. I'm looking at upgrading to a "smartphone" (finally) and this was very helpful!

    '

  • how much this phone in malaysia?..tell me..

  • This may be a dumb question. Is there a difference between the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy S2, Epic 4G Touch?

  • @deliveryboy1 its basically just larger. the button configuration is also different as the epic 4g touch doesnt have the physical menu button and it has a search button also

  • I really think the search key is pointless. The Europeans were right to remove it. Oh well, i'll just have to deal with it or get an iphone which only has one button.

  • @TheGello777 : What does it matter?

  • Eh

  • evo or this?

  • @Zerstoren1012 Imho, this one is better. They are very alike, except this one has more internal memory (16 GB or 32 GB, depends on the package you choose), better camera 8 GB. However, EVO 3D has 3d built in, which means that you can watch 3d content without those glasses. I've saw several reviews and EVO 3d would sometime lag, not Samsung Galaxy S2 . So I think Galaxy S2 is the right choice.

  • @Zerstoren1012 anything but the photon. I have one and it's buggy as hell!

  • 10:20 Phone-ception. LOL

  • @patriots4life11 I have the same dilemma

  • Comment removed

  • @patriots4life11 No shit it's much better lawl. Much better processor, camera, more RAM, better GPU etc.

  • I have it and its rooted.. I have several videos on my end. Check out my work and reviews :) check out my profile

  • at 10:24 he should have skipped to the part in that video where he watches another review of another phone. inb4 Inception.

  • this bad boy is getting copped...

  • I must get rid of my Blackberry, when will it be less money? I want this more than an iphone!

  • Finally got this phone. I think people over exaggerate the "plasitcky" feeling because it feels like a pretty solid device in my opinion. I don't see the resolution as a problem either, the SAMOLED+ display really helps.

    Great Video :)

  • @ChartSlammerLyrics Lol same here, I'm getting it in a couple weeks but I need to tie my excitement over somehow lol.

  • I used to have Iphone... I think my Samsug galaxy is better in many ways, faster, brigther screen

  • He has to pick up junior from daycare... 5:43

  • this if you turned off the 4 wifi settings

  • This. Definately.

  • I'm getting a new phone and is between this phone or the iPhone 4s for sprint. which one has better battery life??

  • @spiddlers5 Definitely don't get an iPhone 4s, it can't even compare to the Epic 4g. First of all, this is a true 4g phone, which means your on Sprints 128 mbps WiMax network compared to the 14.4 mbps you'd be pulling on Sprints HSDPA network, which simply equates to faster downloads, uploads and browsing. Also the Epic 4g has a 1800 mAH battery compared to the iPhones 1420 mAH battery. Also the Epic 4g has a 2 MP front facing camera compared to the 0.3 MP camera on the 4S, and the Epic has a

  • @evanlerdall video out so you can display your phone on your TV quite simply. And the Super AMOLED screen on the Epic is miles ahead of the 4S when considering vividness, brightness and contrast. Plus the Epic is running of a dual core 1.2 GHz with 1024 MB of ram, compared to the 0.8 GHz and 512 MB of ram on the iPhone. And if you need extra storage the Epic has a slot for an SD card and the EPIC supports Adobe Flash for watching movies and playing games on your mobile web browser.

  • uh to get the iphone or this...any thoughts?

  • can you buy the uk version, nd use it with the carriers in the US?

  • Photos are also compressed pretty badly when sent via messaging.

  • Everythings snappy and speedy but thats all I like about it. Games look alright but have jaggies. About every app has annoying popups and how to use them guides. The bottom lit controls are quickly annoying to the point I wish they werent there at all. Widgets are alright but serve little functionality aside from looks Pictures and flash on the net are blocky and distorted. If all you care about is speed, this is for you, if you care about picture quality and simplicity, look elsewhere.

  • cool phone, but like if you think that is a way too long name

  • Comment removed

  • its not 480 by 800... slightly bigger.. its 560 by 940

  • Getting this tommrrrooowwww,!

  • @divagirly9811 hey does it slide

  • getting this for my 16h can't wait

  • Getting it tomorrow!! Psyched!!

  • Its crap you cant get it in the uk

  • It's as good as the Samsung Galaxy S II 19100? No change in some aspect?

  • This phone is very nice. I mean VERY nice. But what people want is the simple UI of the iPhone series. that is what most people choose the iPhone for. I mean the only other thing that is better about the besides the UI iPhone is the retina display, which is still vary small. I mean, everything the iPhone has is rivaled or beaten by this phone. The only reason anybody would still pick the iPhone is for the Ui or the screen. Everything else is better on this phone.

  • I have watched WAY to many videos about this phone...But I can't help it.

  • @ChartSlammerLyrics haha me too!

  • @ChartSlammerLyrics me too hahaha , I am days from getting it

  • I love my phone but hate some of the bugs it has :(

when starting the video and walking it only runs for 1sec. I thought operator error but its done it several times and after it does it, it hangs or lags when trying to run other apps.

  • I love Apple and it's very simple OS and it's awesomeness after a jailbreak but with Android you're free to customize. I have an iPod touch 2G jailbroken and it's pretty cool how I can do about anything I want. I've also had one Android phone (LG Optimus S) and it was pretty cool, too. I didn't like the keyboard because it was too far off when I would hit the keys while my iPod would have an awesome touchscreen that I would never mess up on but that's probably due to the fact that the Optimus'

  • This is the best video I have seen reviewing this phone! Thank you.

I just got my phone today and have watched this video several times. It has really helped me with my phone so far. I am going to favorite this video to watch on my phone in case I forget some tips.

  • The iphone does suck compared to this masterpiece, but I think the use interface is what makes people choose one over the other. Some people like a more simple UI, and others like the customization.

  • Great job on the video! Thx :0)

  • I wish that ppl ddint explain the detail of the phone and actually got to the stuff in the phone no1 cares about how it looks they can easily go to the phone store to see that just get to the point....

  • did anyone get the tethering or stuff from sprint? im confused on what all i should get with it..any mods and such?

  • I know this is probably a stupid question but does anybody know how u take that sound off the one that goes off whenyou take a picture? Any welp would be really appreciated

  • @818Kushism go to camera. shutter sound. click off. boom, done.

  • @Joeyyepp i checked bro there isnt a shutter sound option to click off do u have a a galaxy?

  • @818Kushism sorry late reply, did you figure it out?

  • @Joeyyepp nah i didnt i heard u cant turn it off theres no option to i heard its all complicated u have to do all this stuff with files n stuff

  • @818Kushism Well, I got an iPhone so I don't have the phone on hand anymore, but if you go to camera, try pressing the menu button, and looking through all of that. I am almost 100% sure you can do it!

  • samsung galaxy s II epic 4G touch or HTC evo 3D? agh!! i want both ;(

  • Apple is smart when it comes to ripping people off....when they cone up with a software update they bring out a new iphone. Nothing really changes with them. Android is a mini laptop. An insane machine that makes sense for everyday use... i must say i wish the samsung galaxy s2 in europe was available here in U.S. on cdma network. It looks better especially in white. Hope they release a white version of the galaxy s2 epic possibly...waiting waiting

  • To answer all questions about tethering. You will be charge with sprint about an extra 30 a month however i have the htc evo 4g and i rooted (unlocked) the phone..then i was able to tether with laptops for free with bazing speed anywhere my phone had service. This samsung phone blows all android devices to shame since sprint brought the iphone aboard. I reccommend the galaxy s2 epic and root it. Samsung is easier to root than htc.

  • @MuscleLife23

If you root the Samsung you can tether for free? I was able to tether on my iphone with att and they said they were going to charge the tether fee if they noticed tethering.

  • How much does it cost an unlocked version of this phone?

I mean, what is the average price?

  • At&t version ftw

  • So I been looking in to this phone it looks like The best of the best from Sprint I got till the middle of the next month to deside is there going to be anything better than this from sprint ? Help plzz

  • @andrewgarciasb4 Not that i know of. The galaxy nexus will probably be headed to sprint next year but the samsung galaxy s 2 will be more powerful than that phone since the galaxy nexus will have a gpu that is sub par to that of the galaxy s 2.

  • too bad Wi-MAX is phasing out

  • hi i wanna get this phone from sprint tomorrow with the unlimited data plan, can someone explain to me about tethering. i want to use tethering for my laptop because i dont have no otherway of going online. id like to know if it really is unlimited, also how fast it is because i want to play multiplayer games on it. thanks.

  • Does sprint charge you for turning on the mobile hotspot?

  • epic4gtouchmods DOT kom

  • @Silksinz if you are still in high school and want to show off to every one that you can buy a piece of plastic and glass with a picture of a fruit on it, that still does half the shit android does, go ahead be like the rest of the world and wast it in a shitty 4s. not 4G service, no widgets on screen, no removable sd card. no adobe flash. this Samsung Galaxy S II is by far the best choice if i could afford it right now i would. but i would rather buy alcohol and party with my bros in my Frat!

  • @TheNateNellyReport yeah fuck iphones droids are better

  • @Silksinz i would say neither of them. the iphone 4s is really not that cool of a phone. android phones can do so much more. if you are a business executive and can careless about apps and games go with a BB. better e-mail and exchange server.

if you are a college student i would go with an android. that is what i use and i love it. easy to have all 3 of my e-mail accounts together, removable micro SD card ,super fast phone, 4G service but....

    ..

  • @Silksinz the phone is this video is a Samsung Galaxy S II on the sprint the network.

  • This is supposed to be the Epic2 for Sprint, but no keyboard? major disappointment...

  • My HTC sensation was perfect with GPS...it streamied videos better without much buffering anwith tmobile i got 4g coverage more..with sprint i dont. I hate tmobile but sprint maybe shouldve gotten the sensation

  • What really irritated me about this phone is today when i was using the GPS it took FOREVER for the phone to oick up a signal..luckily i kinda knew where i was going because i usually rely heavily on my gps when i use it.i was in an area where i had all my bars an even 4g coverage..i dont even get 4g coverage at home..so why wasnt the gps working? When it started to work it was innaccurate. It told me i was 150ft away from my destination when i was a mile away :-/

  • this phone /b itched slaped iphone 4S lol uses 3g crap

  • is this phone awsome ?

  • @wastingpapes Is this phone awsome?hey this thing is the godfather of smartphone go for it bro!

  • my samsung epic has a notification light

  • I carry three 16GB sdcards to keep all the files that I need because sometimes I can't access the cloud. That is the only reason that I would want to have this over an iphone. Unless you want to include the fact that you can also get Netflicks, Jetflicks, and modify the UX without voiding the warranty.

  • Samsun

  • maybe it's just me from having an iphone for years not but i personally think the software in this phone isn't great looking. if i could take ios and put it in this phone's hardware that would be amazing.

  • @whaaddupitszaac You mean the other way around right? Put this software on the boring iPhone? Because iOS is so plain and simple it gets boring. Limited customization and no SD expansion slot.

  • @malkito2891 no.. i mean put the worlds best selling, simplest, and most complete iOs on this huge 4.3 inch screen. iOs's limited customization is made up for by a surplus of apps and amazing capabilities. and, if you want customization, take 5 minutes and jb your phone. and who needs more than 32 G's on a phone? or even 16? i was just saying this large screen would go well with iOs. but the iPhone 5 will probably have a larger screen, at least i think so. we'll know Tuesday fosho

  • I see that you enjoy your iphone, and you were anticipating the iphone 5. Now that they released it as the 4s with no cosmetic changes are you disappointed?

  • So I'm a iPhone user and have been for years but their falling way behind now and thinking about switching bc this phone looks sick!!! But question I have does it do the wifi hotspot??? And how easy is it o transfer iTunes songs over to the android

  • 5 people have an HTC phone

  • can u watch netflix on this phone or is not compatible yet?

  • @xxxtonkingxxx All Android phones are able to get netflix by downloading the app in the Market

  • i would buy this because verizon has terrible phones.. but should i go with sprints network... thats the only thing stopping me. let me know??

  • I wish it had a kick stand

  • my next phone

  • What's the difference between the Hummingbird chip, and the one that this phone has?? Thanks to anyone who answers :)

  • @DangerousCR hummingbird is a single core 1ghz chipset and the exynos is a 1.2 dual core hope that helps

  • Its fucking smooth!

  • Great review, finally a notification light...

  • I like the Canadian and European version better, I'll buy it from newegg or something does the AT&T one come with NFC?

  • This phone... is fckin nasty. Good thing I ordered it last night. Heyo.

  • Good solid feel

  • Why so much plastic on Samsung devices? I want metal and glass. My nexus s feels cheap.

  • notification light!!! +1

  • honestly it's scarey how far samsung is so ahead of the competition. i did a benchmark test at att on this phone and it smokes the competition

  • For a phone so powerful, great specs and very popular, I cant understand why it has to be such an ugly phone. why cant Samsung beautify this thing on the outside? thats really the only thing that the iPhone has over it, aesthetic appeal.

  • What so you think? Iphone or this one?

  • The gay part is that he is using wifi which sucks

  • @Cornrows627 We use Wi-Fi to eliminate the various networks that phones run on as a variable for performance. The video is not a demonstration of the network, it is of the phone. Coverage varies by area as well, so your experience on a cellular network could be very different than what I see when I record a video. Wi-Fi helps to eliminate that.

If you are curious as to what my Wi-Fi connection is like, it is hooked up to cable internet service that offers 50Mbps down and 8Mbps up.

  • Does the Samsung email app support IMAP idle, like K9 Mail does? The stock version on the Galaxy Tab 7 does not.

  • @LordMerovingian No, no Samsung email client that I have used supports IMAP IDLE. I wish it did. So far, Motorola's email app is the only manufacturer email client that I have used that actually does support IMAP IDLE.

  • the original s 2 did have a search button, it doubles up as the menu key, if you long press the menu key it brings up search

  • @mobileburn, the original s ii was not just a European variant, is was the worldwide version.

  • Isn't Sprint switching to LTE?

  • If Samsung card do a slim 4G Wimax ,why can't Apple

  • All that power and it can still only do what phones right now can do, only slightly faster. This phone is akin to having a horse pulling an automobile. Good luck trying to get timely updates (Ice-Cream Sandwich) from Samsung for your Sprint phone. Epic 4G, more than one year old, and no Gingerbread! A lot of leaks, sure, but nothing official. Samsung has been screwing up updates since the days of the A900, and the white/gray screen of death.

  • I watched this video thinking this phone is amazing and I would love to have it, then realizing I can't afford it....v_v

  • @dirtymonkey03 Walmart has it for $99...go to their site.

  • @richardb2837 How is iPhone better?

  • @MGSROCKS1 netter wuality more apps, and no constant force close and simple to use...

  • This phone sucks.

  • In what way does it suck?

  • I know you can do video chat but can you actually record video with the front camera? I know the original epic w/ the keyboard could not do it. Can anyone confirm if this one can?

  • @jcmjimmie I can confirm that you can record video with the front-facing camera. When you switch from still picture to video mode, there is an option for "Self Recording." The resolution is limited to VGA (640 x 480), however.

  • i wish it ran windows phone 7.5 but still AMAZINGGGGG phone

  • Two idiot is using crappy iphone 4

  • @Dragonman10000 Fuggin sprint is lucky, we get hercules. :P

  • This is a Galaxy phone video and iPhone still has yall mind. The top rated comments are always "dissing" iphone instead of praising this phone in the video haha #Message

  • cant wait to get this phone friday

  • @brightlocs17 same here

  • I don't know if it's the cameras people use, or a problem with the screen, but every time I see this phone the blues look purple.

  • @venasara Like most Super AMOLED Plus displays, colors on the Epic 4G Touch are very saturated. I can say that in person, the blues are very deep, but that may not be reflected well through the camera and your monitor.

  • Hey I have a question. Can someone please tell me the colors that the led notification light has?

  • Comment removed

  • @reenas2 Well I think it lights up red as well just I wanted to be sure.

  • @Xtraturbo both red and blue

  • @Xtraturbo It illuminates both blue and red. There doesn't seem to be way to control it. It glows red while charging, and flashes blue for notifications.

  • Man iphones are Over hyped..Ill admit IoS runs smooth but i prefer Android anyDay especially Samsungs Devices

  • iphone!!!

  • I need this Asap....

  • @brianfrian4g Yup, another anomaly in the Galaxy S family. Most of the Samsung Galaxy S smartphones lack notification lights.

  • Part 2 will come out after the phone releases on Sprint Friday. SmH

  • @GL0baL1nt3L Part 2 is up now. It was posted about 2 hours ago.

  • I cant stand how when a new phone is n europe and it has one name, then when it comes to america the name changes. This phone was the samasung galaxy s2, now its the epic touch

  • @Jerz1983 Technically, the proper name is the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. It is standard practice for American carriers to change the name of phones when they get it. And in this case, since this model has some significant differences than the European model (larger screen, CDMA/WiMAX connectivity), the name change is somewhat justified.

  • I pre-ordered this phone on Wal-Mart website for $150!

  • @mnoble999

I saw walmart had them for 150, but is it the Galaxy 2 and not the Epic Touch? Not really sure what the differences would be in the phone. Epic is sprint and Galaxy 2 is ATT, right? Walmart said the tmobile was 200.

  • Why people talk about iphones on here I have no clue lol. You put that little screen next to this beast and there is no competition in my book lol.. Awsome phone Samsung!! I just don't like when scrolling those four icons stay at the bottom. Other then that this phone is amazing..

  • Don't know if I'll get this or wait til the Iphone 5 comes out in Mid Oct. Rumor has it that the iphone 5 is coming to sprint so I'll wait until then and choose..I might still end up getting this phone lol

  • @XxMikeD901xX

What did you get? I ended up getting both. The 4s and Epic Touch

  • Hot cell i neet the T mobile one

  • Very impressed. Thanks for showing some of the browser functions...
