  • That was a real shame destroying a 1975 Thunderbird Silver Anniversary edition. They obviously had major suspension and power mods to these cars. I have had 4 of these cars, and no way they would have handled that well out of the box. That 460 only had 212 stock horsepower.

  • hollywood exec: yes, i would like to order a new T-bird and LTD for with heavy duty suspension and the biggest V8 you have for a car chase.

ford showroom: sure. we build them here in L.A. will have them ready in no time. what color would you like?

  • There is no way - I repeat, NO WAY - a 1976 Thunderbird could maneuver like that without some serious modifications to the suspension. My friend's father had one - it handled like a cruise ship.

  • great chase...but the locations change way too fast for the speed those cars were capable of.

  • what is that car sound that not the right one lol sounds lke a van or something

  • and they say cars back then didnt have great handling. XD

  • pretty good chase! i love how the grey car suddenly mends it's back at 5:18

  • why the word barge is both noun and verb

  • 5:18

    WTF! CAR FIXED!?

  • must admit those 70's boats are nice and sound good. But horrid handling.

  • @dkc2lover not the 70s-80s fords. Better suspension than a fox mustang...just a tad bit of sway. Fun none the less.

  • @dkc2lover

Yeah, they've got some wicked body roll don't they?

  • Listen to those land yachts just sucking in oxygen.Sweet music.

  • the suspension is just brilliant XD

  • Love the silver Thunderbird.

  • I think the right title of the movie is Two Transatlantics on the road.

  • wann kam der aufm zdf?

  • Hey, wasn´t that truck BEHIND the cars? When did it passed the blue one? Amazing to see these rustbuckets run, nice "tight" suspension, lol, they wobble like mattresses. LOL, the truck crashes the car from behind, crushing the back, and at 5:20 the back of the car is like new again, LOL.

  • @lalbruiz Sorry, I wasn´t aware there were 2 trucks...somebody should compile ALL car chases from movies, into one DVD and sell them.

  • Hey, wasn´t that truck BEHIND the cars? When did it passed the blue one? Amazing to see these rustbuckets run, nice "tight" suspension, lol, they wobble like mattresses.

  • one fast truck

  • german just doesnt suit this situation and place etc.

  • to bad about the semi trucks

  • no the 70s cadillacs r the best

  • Those cars look shitty to handle. Nice chase anyway !

  • At 04:54 the rear end of the car is damaged and at 05:18 it's not damaged! BIG FAIL!!!!!!

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkk tomou uma fechada e foi pra água se fudeu legal kkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • god, cars were really ugly back in this era.

  • This is cool, but upload all of this classic

    movie in English please.

  • They speaking in italian make it all funny.

    Piu bello!

  • The film is actually dubbed in German

  • Whoa... LOL I'm sorry. I don't believe I did myself clear on my post.

What I meant is that I've seen this movie before, dubbed in ITALIAN and that made it funny.

    Sorry, lol.

  • Cool movie, and the truck are a lunatic to, he had a plot in that car chase. The movie are 5 years older than me !

  • Great clip, love how the drivers manage to control such heavy undersprung boats of cars.

  • As others have said, The engines sound like a cross between jag straight sixes and shagged four cylinders, Its a shame because some of the car control is superb, Drifting those things aint easy !!

  • Anybody notice how there were two Thunderbirds used? The one that they didn't beat up had a silver interior, and the one that they kept crashing had a blue interior. There were also some scenes right after it got rear ended where the rear end was magically not smashed anymore.

I've got a 1976 Thunderbird and that car is a TANK! It would take a lot to smash one of those.

  • I wouldn't say they "ruined it," but they were definitely out of place. Apart from the excessive tire squealing, the engine sounds are also almost comically "off."

Both the LTD and the Thunderbird should be running 385-series Ford V8s (400s, 429s, or 460s), but both the cars here sound like old European inline sixes of some sort. XD

  • wow that was something

  • woooooow power slid cooooool

  • that thunderbird is lookin nice

  • Stunt ,en really earned their money back then, shame the camera guys missed the stunt of the truck rolling over though.

  • Second time I see this vid, and yeah, whats with all the squealing tires? Talk about overdone!

  • roger moore gets REAL nervous at 2:26- 2:28, the look on his face is priceless

  • 460/ 4 barrell cars

  • @93740il, they spent gas as a Jumbo 747 isn't?

  • cool slow motion

  • wow, stacey!!!!

  • I figured out why the cars squeal even when they're going straight.. That's their power steering belts slipping.

  • some of the best stunt drivin i've seen

  • try the movie bullit

  • those are nice freightliner cabovers prolly a 250 cummins

  • ok did i miss something? were the tanker drivers working for the bad guys? or were they just jerks and dint like ppl passing them?

  • Nice that has to be the best use of full size 70's cars ever!

  • @therealcharliesafari hit to pass!

  • lol not a bad chase scene considering they are using smoger era opra windowed sedans

  • the t-bird and LTD had 460's to move like that

-alot of torque. no way a 400 could do that screaming for mercy. the editing is at it's

    70's best. LoL!

  • I liked the ford thunderbird

  • I had a T-Bird like that, but mine was a '72... fucking great chase, man, can't believe I haven't seen it before!

  • AHAHA luk at the back of the car at 4:57 , then luk at it at 5:19 , nice the cars in the seventies had healing powers!!!!!!!!!

  • dam luk how those iron elephants handle those curves.......

  • AWESOME CARCHASE!!

  • fuck he got away man
