That was a real shame destroying a 1975 Thunderbird Silver Anniversary edition. They obviously had major suspension and power mods to these cars. I have had 4 of these cars, and no way they would have handled that well out of the box. That 460 only had 212 stock horsepower.
There is no way - I repeat, NO WAY - a 1976 Thunderbird could maneuver like that without some serious modifications to the suspension. My friend's father had one - it handled like a cruise ship.
Hey, wasn´t that truck BEHIND the cars? When did it passed the blue one? Amazing to see these rustbuckets run, nice "tight" suspension, lol, they wobble like mattresses. LOL, the truck crashes the car from behind, crushing the back, and at 5:20 the back of the car is like new again, LOL.

As others have said, The engines sound like a cross between jag straight sixes and shagged four cylinders, Its a shame because some of the car control is superb, Drifting those things aint easy !!
Anybody notice how there were two Thunderbirds used? The one that they didn't beat up had a silver interior, and the one that they kept crashing had a blue interior. There were also some scenes right after it got rear ended where the rear end was magically not smashed anymore.
I've got a 1976 Thunderbird and that car is a TANK! It would take a lot to smash one of those.
I wouldn't say they "ruined it," but they were definitely out of place. Apart from the excessive tire squealing, the engine sounds are also almost comically "off."
Both the LTD and the Thunderbird should be running 385-series Ford V8s (400s, 429s, or 460s), but both the cars here sound like old European inline sixes of some sort. XD

must admit those 70's boats are nice and sound good. But horrid handling.

@dkc2lover not the 70s-80s fords. Better suspension than a fox mustang...just a tad bit of sway. Fun none the less.

@lalbruiz Sorry, I wasn´t aware there were 2 trucks...somebody should compile ALL car chases from movies, into one DVD and sell them.
