Because British-born women currently only produce, on average, 1.84 children - That is not enough to pay for the retirement of the two people who made those children.
Including immigrants, our overall birth-rate is currently at 1.96 babies per woman, which is still not enough to sustain our population, especially as we are now living longer and so spending longer in retirement.
Immigration is essential for our country and our economy.
