Briscoe is a top notch driver, and he is a class act as well. I watched him this past weekend come from nearly 2 laps down at one point, only to charge back to finish 3rd . He is an incredible driver and a valuable member of Team Penske.

Ryan Briscoe has more wins than Danica. He has more wins because he is a much, much better driver. He will stay at Penske, and we will finally get to see what Briscoe is capable of in the future. As for the present, he has already proven that he belongs in the position he is in as well as the fact that he has much more talent than certain other drivers--who will be gone as soon as another female who actually has talent surfaces.

Last time I checked it was Danica trying to fight Briscoe, not the other way around, and now he has won his first race with a brilliant performance at Milwaukee. Briscoe is a bit hit or miss, has great raw speed but tends to suffer from brain farts

What saved him was the tub spinning half a hundred times or so, like with the Kenny Brack crash at Texas, after the outer shell of the car was destroyed. Without the pieces spinning everywhere, the energy would've gone into the driver, and made it an instant fatality.

Another reason I prefer the open-wheel/formula cars over other forms, they use the highest technology to provide safety, while also going as fast as they can get them.

i agree with senninha - the announcer says he goes for a ride up the fence. the cockpit is the section that is left flying behind while the camera follows the wheels down the fence. watch it again in slow motion, or look for the photo in a magazine or on google. you can even see briscoe's helmet as it gets left behind by the rear wheels

This announcer is a moron. Briscoe had several injuries, including two broken clavicles and a concussion. He was hospitalized for over a week and took a long time to recover. He hardly "walked away."
