Lenny Bruce completely changed comedy for all that followed him, but died a broken, tragic figure. Watch Lenny Bruce and then watch George Carlin and you'll realize that w/o Lenny, the Carlins and the Pryors probably never would've come into being.
haha well i definitely don't think he's suggesting we're all the same, but certainly that skin color probably isn't a very important factor in judging a person.
@Salocin, yes race was the point, remember in what era this man's material was exposed in. Blacks and women were thought of as inferior in all ways. To people back then, this was common knowledge. I suggest exploring a little thing called, history.
the genius ... mark twain, lenny bruce, richard pryor, george carlin & dave chappelle ... lenny was the 4runner of all the comedians of the modern age ...
No he's trying to say once you know the black woman is attractive and the white woman isn't then colour no longer factors into it. That we are all the same regardless of race.
@warrior9teen I agree "That we are all the same regardless of race." But is that the real point of what he is saying. I think he was being a bad ass here.
Lenny was a pioneer because he was doing it before Pryor or Carlin. Much respect to him.

Now that's a REAL king of comedy. Foxx, Pryor, Bruce and Carlin should be on Mount Rushmore.

@warrior9teen actually he's simply touching on the inherent superficiality of race prejudice. you were right in the first half of your statement.

@kermitdfrogz Good one, man. It should be on the Superbowl, right before a Bud Light commercial.
