Hey....old school hack here....miss my Ensoniq EPS16 and my Korg linked up to cakewalk. Your video put me back in sample mode on my Gband and I thank you....all I need now is a to figure out how to get an actual keyboard linked as playing various melody lines.bass lines on the mac keyboard doesnt give me the warm fuzzzy. thanks again man, good stuff.
I tried using soundflower, it seemed to work fine the first couple times, now when i go from youtube or any website, the track sounds muffled or as if there is some sort of filter on it. It is a new real instrument track with no effects. any suggestions? Thanks.
question....if i made a beat with a sample that was flipped so good that no one could tell where the sample came from....could i get a away with it, if i sold it???
@rudy52111 If you sell a beat or use it for financial gain you have to clear the sample through the company that owns the rights to the song that you sampled.
@michaelromani Did you do a video how to loop the sample? I am new to it but have a knowledge of how to edit. I just want to know the buttons to actually loop it so do I bring up the keyboard midi icon and drag it to the keys to sample? Then how do I loop it and save it in the track as a continuos loop? Peace!
@GRANDETRACK Whatever works for you as long as the quality is decent. I want to work for the Apple store but I don't think they'd understand all of this. It really wasn't designed to do all this sample work, but if you use it enough you find ways to "beat the system" and turn it into a sick piece of software.
Thanks for the heads up on Soundflower! This will definitely be a useful tool. I had always been frustrated with the limitations placed on the use of sounds from iTunes in Garageband, but this app should help eliminate those. I'm also excited about the possibilities this opens up to sampling TV/Film dialogue that is not always easy to find on YouTube, etc.
Everytime when I export my final mix from garageband into iTunes, the volume is really low. Can you explain to me how to export your final mix and have it at the same volume as it is when you play it on GB. Thanks
Choose GarageBand > Preferences, then click Advanced.
Select the Auto Normalize checkbox.
Selecting Auto Normalize does not affect the volume level when you play the project in GarageBand, only when you export the project. To change the volume level when you play the project, drag the master volume slider, or adjust your computer’s sound output.
THANKS! BEST TUTORIAL ON YOUTUBE...Do you have any videos on how to get REAL hip hop drums for garageband? The drums are kinda limited on garageband

I was recording samples using ScreenFlow and dropping the audio into GarageBand, what do you think about that?

@MHIoscar Taken from GarageBand Help --
To export projects at the optimum volume level:
Choose GarageBand > Preferences, then click Advanced.
Select the Auto Normalize checkbox.
Selecting Auto Normalize does not affect the volume level when you play the project in GarageBand, only when you export the project. To change the volume level when you play the project, drag the master volume slider, or adjust your computer’s sound output.
Hope this helps...
