Even though music is a big part of my life, I still think Obama is wasting time on open public appeal, when he should be focusing on the deeper problems America faces, like economic recovery. What ever happened to boosting the economy by extending the payroll taxes? On Jan. 1st, if Congress does not change its mind, the middle class will have to suffer an increase of $1000 in taxes, slowing the economic recovery yet again.
Obama has amazing speech skills, i'll give him that...

President Obama: Many Americans are talking about a coupla things that we would like to see happen. One, why are we not implementing a Value Added Tax, like my cousin says he experiences in many European countries?? Most Europeans have got used to it and like it!!!! We do it for cigarettes, and alcohol here, so why not do the same for all products?? Another thing, Europeans equally enjoy exercise facilities, whether they are poor or rich!! The government helps subsidise, according to income!
