Wow...I wish this generation of people wasn't so obsessed with gore and sex. -_- The true originals put these stupid remakes to shame. All these remakes are doing is making kids think that it's cool to have sex/have sexual experience and make them think blood everywhere is scary. These movies are nothing scary in my opinion. I've heard of 5th graders in school now thinking that they're cool because they've 'done it' before. How sad is that? o_O

This wasn't a remake, it should have been called a sequel because that what it basically was. It was not a remake of the first film because JASON was NOT in the first film, he didn't start KILLING until the sequel, he showed up in the last seconds of the first one. His MOM was originally the killer. so no this was no remake.

Did you even read the description? The movie was intended to compact the key events from the first three, starting with Mrs Voorhees being beheaded, going on to Jason using the sack to cover his face, and then finding the hockey mask.

Derek Mears' Jason was the best thing about the film. Perfectly aggressive

everything else was bland & total balls, but at least ut was slightly better than the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake (Which, in some ways, suffered the modern syndrome even worse than the Friday the 13th remake), but it still was bland as hell

screw remakes they just re-do horror movies so they can ''modernize'' them for the new generation. It wouldn't be so bad if the new generation wasn't obsessed with sex and not terror and suspense like the old horror films have. =[

Derek Mears does a hell of a job as Jason Voorhees but the writers & director should of spent more time on the script, or these jobs should of went to people who know or cared about true horror instead of collecting a paycheck. Michael Bay said that the camp is not in use because camps are not scary? Have you been to camp! All of this could have been corrected with just a little more tweaking of the script. That's what make this all so sad. So now we go to the Nightmare on Elm Street remake!!

Well, you and most other fans who don't know the proper structure of a good, hell even decent, slasher flick can keep taking it up the ass from Marcus Nispel, now the director who screw up 2 franchises, and Michael Bay. He's only making these remakes cause he knows he can make a shit load of cash for no real effort. We as Horror Fans need to demand that Bay and his company Platinum Dunes should make films way more better than what we got back in the 80's. Put some love into it, not half ass it!
