how long you need to be a expert guitar player? i play about 2 years and i play on hard, and some songs on expert. but 100% i reach very very rarely. :-/ hope you answer :)

@DivineDanielLP Honestly it depends on the person and how much time you put in. Playing on expert and 100%ing songs is not easy to do. I suggest looking up a website called scorehero to learn how to up your game. They talk about techniques, star paths and other things on there. Keep up the hard work!

@ZerkStrenght Thank you! I like Rock Band 2 mostly. In all honesty the only reason I kept Rock Band 3 is for the DLC. I don't care much for the standard setlist, but the DLC in the Rock Band Network is amazing! So many good bands in there! And yes, you can buy just the guitar for the game. I personally just use my Guitar Hero Les Paul to play Rock Band. The guitars work for both games. ^_^

@taylabrain lol Thank you. As for the difficulty question...It depends on the song and the note charting honestly. The note hit timing window in Rock Band IS more strict though, making it harder to hit notes... so in that way I would say yes, Rock Band is harder.

@hex1gon Yeah the audio of me is quieter because I'm further away from the camera whereas the game audio is a direct feed. I probably should have turned that up when I was fixing the other audio issue but I didn't think it was that bad. sorry!

@17peazy There are a couple times when the timing shifts just slight enough that it can through you off which is why you see me downstrum most of the song. I notice if I alt strum too much I end up missing eventually. I'd say try downstrumming the whole song if you can and see if that halps. There's no really tough solo or anything so I'm sure you can get it! Also, try turning breakneck speed on too. That might help you a bit. If you're at 99%, FCing it isn't too far away so go for it!

Hi StarSlay3r you can get a green screen and lights pretty cheap actually. Check out wolf camera or adorama.com and look at a company called westcott. They tend to cost only like $100 with lights included so its worth a look. It also comes with some editing software as well but im not sure how good it is. Well either way I can send a link if you would like but green screens are pretty affordable now in some places since most hollywood went bluescreen. Hope this helps. Take care :)

@SignatureGamers I totally agree! I have looked into buying a green screen and have wanted to do that for the past year but it's pretty expensive for the screen and all the lights. @bigguyjames34 Yeah I got it and played it a while and did a write up on it on my website. Basically I think it's a great game for learning the basics of guitar and learning how to play a few songs, but basically it doesn't teach you how to read sheet music or the basics of music composition. It's basically just memorizing songs and copying them. You WILL learn how to play songs on the guitar, but further professional instruction is necessary to learn how to play fully.

This video isn't really good for that because I hopped around so much and the camera was out of focus. What REALLY sucks is that I recorded all this in HD and my editing program kept crashing so I had to downgrade the quality. :( Makes it even harder to see my hands like that. Sorry!

@ArobeeTV You just might need to learn a couple techniques on how to make expert easier. Do you play with your fingers resting on red, yellow, blue, orange? How about breakneck speed/ hyperspeed? Sometimes using that helps you to focus on the notes better. Can you alt strum? Things like this all make expert easier to manage. I suggest hitting up scorehero forums to read up on some techniques if you really want to get hardcore with it. :)
