Capcom sure went out of their way to make the final bosses for Breath of Fire look disturbing. Tyr and Deathevn just look flat out scary and then Myria has her whole melting face thing with Holocaust and her intestine attack.

Dude, you rule! Just to think all the hard stuff I'd been through to get the final boss in lvl 13, I think to kill myself (the last dungeon has a very high rate of random encounters, and it pisses anyone off even at lvl 50).

No cheating here, folks. Anyone who knows a little well how the game works would agree with me. But it takes A LOT of EPIC patience. Anyway, very nice work!

well he is definetly using a par code for items...at level 12 youd have very little cash and items...you can even use a code for no random battles as well....so he most likely has dragon equipment as well....notice at 1:49 WiseBLX7: X7=item number=hack

No codes were used at all. Money can be made quickly by cooking in HomeTown and selling GoldBars you get in the process.

God this just blows my mind.... I can't believe I used to live on this kinda stuff. I remember first playing this and obsessing over it for weeks..... researching it in game guides (pre internet) and being blown away by how challening the game was I stil remember how amazing the "shrink and destroy the virus's " sidequest was.. This game is such a good summary of my youth, wasting hours in my bedroom on my snes and loving every second of it. Great job!

mit so einem niedrigen level wie hier in dem video kann man garnicht sein da wenn man das spielt ohne trainieren durchspielt ca. level 30 hat wenn überhaupt level 30 frage nur es sind schon einige starke gegner und endgegner im spielt wie will man die mit einem niedrigen level besiegen man geht eher kaputt als man im spiel vorankommt mit dem level wie hier im video ist es einfach unmöglich das spiel überhaupt durchzuspielen es geht einfach nicht

You can't get to the last boss at lvl 12. Its like impossible unless it was game genie or on pc. You'd have to lvl high enough to even beat bosses in this game. Love this game though. Still got it for snes!

Hey, I recorded every boss battle and it's here on YouTube, nothing impossible about it.

As for advancing in the dungeon, it's very hard but still possible. If you want shamanised people for the final battle, you have to progress with a party of unshamanised ones (because they're more than likely to die on the way) all the way until the last dragon statue, then change and save.

I agree, It's not impossible, cuz for some reason whenever I play a game with a level system I always verse things at a very low level.

I haven't battled Deatheven for a long time, I played it only when I was a small child :P

I'm currently playing breath of fire III now.

And I have IV ready to be played.

Sh4delock obviously there's some kind of cheat(inf.energy till you get there/reduce level@the stage) involved, it has to be near impossible at those levels to get that far in and that far down, most of the later bosses would wipe out a L12-13 in seconds.

Smoke items help to repel the enemies in the area, though, unlike in the first BoF game, they do not guarantee the lack of encounters.

Aside from that, it's mostly the luck of running away and meeting less enemies. Shamanised Nina can warp you out of battles, which is a good strategy, but, as you can see, I chose to shamanise other characters instead.

No offense to the gamer, but this has got to be the most boring, uninspiring, and downright depressing boss music ever composed. And I CAN'T be the only person who thinks this.

It's like listening to a church organist practicing inside a soundproof room two buildings away right after his wife left him because she couldn't stand to listen to his crappy music anymore.

Really, I think it makes it sound epic. Not every battle needs a hard-core, heart-pounding final battle theme.  At least that's what I think. Besides, no offence to you, I respect everybody's opinions on things, but I think music like this could heighten the tension more than a hard-core song could.

Definitely. This song is rather mellow, but it gives a more sinister feeling to the fight, and anything else would have killed the feel of this fight. It's supposed to be dark and gloomy. The overall atmosphere of the game is perhaps one of the most dark for the SNES. Some parts are definitely more light-hearted, but it never strays for long.

Goddamn I love this game. I should play it again.

@MoogleBoss I did the same as this the only difference is Ryu was level 38 Bleu level 39 i had bow and spar it took me around 30 minutes by around the 20 i had a solo because i had no more LifePT's i got them to a higher level and now gonna do it again its just a Epic boss, No Doubt one of the best games out there.

i couldnt continue after the church raid there tiga dies.... i followed a guide that said after scene when the great church is destroyed i was supposed to get to gutz and go north to the house and talk to a old man then a guy in a secret room and say yes but i cant answer... can someone tell me what i should do?

You have to first go down into your well in your town. This triggers something in the game so that when you talk to Eichichi she will come to your town.

Katt pwns. I never thought she would be this great to utilize. But for her outspeeding this boss is impossible, as her speed even with best equipments and shamanized with spoo (extra speed bonus) and shin caps at 130, whilst he packs 138. But 900.. or even that 600 something shown, thats just ridiculous. Even if just two or three turns, it easily replaces a G.Dragon, and as there is one essential "free spot" for this fight, Katt definitely fits in great.

Anyway, cg on this great accomplishment.
