  • Many fond memories ... thanks for posting.

  • What's to say?.. I just glad that I know this kind of music and artist.

  • Boy does this take me back to the blue light parties in the basement grinding lol with somebodyh watching the steps for the chaperone. I can remember seeing him at the local clubs in Chicago on his crutches.

  • Très beau slow !

  • Love it!!

  • LOVE me some Walter! Never tire of his voice. May he rest in peace.

So glad I got to see him perform live in 1966!

  • yes i want to album version

  • PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE POST THIS SONG IF YOU HAVE THE ORIGINAL VERSION. I AM GRATEFUL FOR THIS ONE, BUT WOULD LOVE THE ORIGINAL.

  • i want the orginal version to this song can some one post it pls

  • @doctorluv6969 yo good doctor, this is the first version walter did of 'welcome home'. 1965 he re-cut the song on chi-sound in the late 70's. perhaps that's the version you're after.

  • @doctorluv6969 yo i heard'em all this is the best one...

  • I can still see Walter on the stage of the Royal Theater in Baltimore. He had a handicap and would walk off of the stage in slow motion on his crutches. Very dramatic.

  • Man, this type of music takes me so far back in time. And right back to Memphis, listening to WDIA. Thanks so much for posting!!"

  • Sublime

  • This was excellent - thank you.
