At the time I recorded this I only had the video recorder on my phone. I used that to grab the video while simultaneously recording the audio from the DS using my computers line-in. I then deleted the video soundtrack, mixed in the one from the line-in recording and synced it!

Make sure you have a WEP protection on your router(or no protection) because mario kart doesn't support other protections.

This is a cheat code from action replay

you have to press r before the track select appears (for example when youre selecting your character)

Now you've got the missing Tracks at your tracklist.They replace some old tracks

For example you can Play "Waluigi Pinball" my favorite track on wi-fi now

Well, sort of. It has a history of not working properly. The installation process works like half the time. If it doesn't you have to undo everything and start over. Sometimes the thing just won't connect and you have to reboot it. Sometimes it will work fine for months on end and quit working without warning. I still say its worth it(MKDS is great on wifi)but be prepared. I ended up having a computer guy come over and set it up for me since its a frustrating device. Makes sense it was recalled

To those who don't know how to connect to the Internet on this game...Buy a Nintendo WiFi USB connector. Not sold in stores anymore, but you can find them online (amazon, ebay, etc). One in good condition can cost $40 upwards. Also they tend to be unreliable (mine is, anyway). I think thats why they got recalled. Worth it though, this game on wifi is awesome

I believe this is because your router is using some other encryption other than WEP that the nintendo DS does not support.

Is your router set to WPA? For the Nintendo DS to connect it must be off (not recommended!) or WEP.

Then I can only suggest either buying a Nintendo Wi-Fi USB stick which will plug into your PC and provide Wi-Fi for your DS, or buying a second accesspoint (not a good idea if you have no network experience).

Hackers are people who cheat in the game. For example, they will have infinite blue shells/bullets/stars, giving you no chance of winning any race. If you play online now, you will unfortunately run into many hackers, sucking the fun out of the game. I recommend you getting Mario Kart Wii (if you have a Wii). I had the game for almost two months now, and I still haven't seen a hacker in online play

Not from PAR and can't unlock...b ut you just extract the files rom the MK rom then swap the map names, repack and slip em back into the rom. Rom goes into microSD, microSD into a cart placer, like the CycloDS or M3.

yes you can play all the maps online, but not on the physical cartridge of MK that you buy at stores. You can only play them with an altered version of the game.

YES, BUT, You have to use an Action Replay. You insert Mario Kart DS into your action replay cartridge, then you insert your Action Replay into your DS. Of course you have to use the correct codes found online (which don't come with action replay). Unlocking these courses IS THE ONLY CHEAT worth doing online because nintendo should have included these fun maps on wifi. All other cheater codes during wifi are super gay and defeat the purpose of competition and fun. This AC code is good.

He's using an Action Replay, a device that lets you hack the game. He is a cheater.

I am *not* using an action replay. If I had one I would, it would be a much much easier way to do this.

I'm using an extreme flash advance (GBA flashcart) and a copy of the real game in the DS slot, with a DS that has the flashme firmware modification.

Basically you patch a copy of the game and flash it to the GBA flashcart, then boot it with the original DS card in the DS slot (for the savegame data).

There are other ways, such as action replay, using a loader with supercard, etc.
