Sheila was the most sophisticated villain in soap history, certainly in terms of writing. However dastardly her scheme, Kimberlin Brown always had a vulnerable edge, making sure you always sympathised with Sheila somewhere down the line.

I don't see how they can have Tracey Q from GH as a villian, she's more like a spoil brat. It should've been Heather Webber from GH, now that's a villian!

A clip of James Steinbeck scaring the hell out of Babs would have been awesome.... They used the wrong clip of Roger though. He became a badass when he raped Holly and tortured Rita in 1979-80.

@TimsDale4ever Years ago I was flipping channels and saw a man beating up 2 teenagers, a girl and a boy! Punching the boy with a closed FIST! At the time I was so focused on whatever show I was looking for that I didn’t wait to see what it was about, AND it cut to a commercial. Thinking about it later, and after seeing Andy Kavovit on ATWT... Could that have been “James” hitting “Paul” and “Jennifer”?

@themirrorsofmymind If you're talking about somewhere in the late 80's it could have been. I missed the episode, but Paul really cared for Emily (who's Jennifer?) who at the time was with James, and I think Paul walked in on James roughing up Emily. Paul pulled out a pistol and ended up shooting James and "killing" him. It was I believe the 2nd time James left ATWT only to return again somewhere down the road. The look on Kavovit's face as he was shooting his father was exceptional ATWT!

Yeah Travis I was always hoping that Tony and Bobbie would get back together somewhere down the line but I guess the damage was already done. Tony and Bobbie did admit on Tony's deathbed that they were the love of each other's lives. Now he's in heaven with Tanya and BJ, his first family.

@formersoapfan8492 Yeah Todd Manning(OLTL) was ranked as the 3rd most evil character in soap history. James Stenbeck(ATWT) was ranked as 2nd and Stefano DiMera was ranked as 1st. Sheila Carter(Y&R/B&B) was ranked as 4th, so Todd outranks Sheila Carter, who's shown here.

Bobbie on GH did do something bad in the 90's...she cheated on Tony Jones with Damian Smith. How dare she do that. Tony was nothing but a faithful loving husband who provided her with a safe stable life and something Bobbie never had before: her own family.

Maybe for "Days Of Our Lives" as far as the 90's goes, but the late 70's and up to the mid 80's, to me that's when soaps were really at their best. I mean, Karen Wolek (Judith Light) from OLTL and her breakdown on the stand from 1979, is one of the most compelling, heart gripping, jaw dropping, captivating scenes I have ever seen in both primetime and daytime history!

You can't forget Michael Zaslow (Roger Thorpe) GL. (RIP). The man was nothing short of brilliant. He was out there kicking it before there was a Victor Newman on Y & R, or Stefano on Days Of Our Lives.

Boy does this list keep on growing. I was reading my latest issue of SOD how could I forget about Mitch and Allison from OLTL, Terrible Tom Y&R, Peter, E.J. Celeste, Lexie and MarDevil (when the devil was in Marlena) Days, Blake, Phillip GL, Skye AMC,OLTL,GH, Orlena, Barbara, Craig ATWT. I wanted to name Villains that FANS remembered them being BAD (and not just part of a storyline arc like most of the ones I named) that will go down in the History of Daytimes Villains.

We'll the more I think about it all add to my list: Reva, Brent/Marion GL, Liza, Kendal, Greenlee, Arlene, Marion AMC, Matt, and Tricia Y&R, Bobbie, Lucy, Ryan GH, Amber, Morgan B&B. These are my 90's villains and the reason I fell in LOVE with soaps. I only mention the EVIL twin because I felt he had an impact on Kevin's up bringing, but as u know there are a whole lot of evil twins: Rick Y&R, Justine AW.

ATWT's Lisa and Susan were Villains but I always felt they were DAYTIMES first BITCHES, including Susan daughter Emily and Vanessa GL.

@manussa77 They definitely should've included James Stenbeck from ATWT. Not many soap opera villians came close to his standards. I read that statistically, James Stenbeck was ranked in 2nd place as the most evil character in soap opera history. The character who ranked in 1st place was Stefano DiMera from DOOL. Just for the record, Sheila Carter from Y&R/B&B was ranked as 4th place and Todd Manning from OLTL was ranked in 3rd place. Victor Newman from Y&R was ranked in 10th place.

I don't know why they put Victor Newman ranked in 10th for a villian, I mean he really is not a villian, lol!!

When the character debut on Y&R back in the late 70's, he started out just being a little bad (he had his reasons though), but for the past 30 years the character has been likable and a fan favorite. If that villian rank list is from 1994, they need to seriously update it fast, because Sheila Carter has been doing some crazy devious shit for the past 17 years, lol!!

Sheila Carter is DEFINETLY the number 1 villian of Soaps, for the women. As for the men, it would have to be Stefano Dimera. Other contenders are: Dorian, OLTL, Tracy, GH, Roger Thorpe, GL, Adam, AMC, Helena, GH, Iris, AW, Alan and Alexandra Spaulding, GL, Jill, Y&R and of course VICTOR NEWMAN, Y&R, but Sheila is above all these!!!

There r a lot more but u only named 1 Soap Villain from a cancelled soap Iris (AW/Texas) played by BM. I'm a 90's soap fan therefore I can't go back. I am sure there are several villains from canceled SOAPS. Let's keep this 1 going....
