oh my god... the third symphony material.. in that whole interlude.. minute 6 or something... ja ja.. great!!! Prokofiev rips Prokofiev... ok Sergei.. do it!
Fantastic, beautifully produced video, with so many references & allusions. Bravo! I had the LP box of this, lost many years ago after several moves Agreed, it's still the most intense, (Jarvi too smooth, Gergiev too engineered....)despite the sound of the language. And the Third symphony is one of my FavoriteNoises, lucky to catch it live 3weeks ago in Montpellier, and won't miss the Proms broadcast soon. Quelle richesse! Thank you.
Of his seven operas P. liked this one best. If any of these images are associated with the French production, you got an interested customer here right away. Like was this production put on a DVD?
Hi! I 'm looking for the third part (first scene) of this french recording. is there anyone that can help me please? It's very urgent.. ;o( It seems to be not available in any music shop... It could be great to have an mp3 version! thaaaaaaaank youuuuuuuuuuu!!!!! :o)
As Colin Wilson stated in his nonfiction work, "The Occult" this was, by far, Prokofiev's most powerful opera. I was already addicted to this before I read that from Mr. Wilson. Then I bought a recording of the opera and learned for myself. Already hooked upon the symphony Prokofiev made of this. With lyrics and plotline, beyond awesome.
hi, thx for ur response. some data: L'Ange de Feu (2-cd); recording date: 1957 ; Release Date: 2003-02-11 (re-release);label and label number: Musidisc 0028947272328
Jane Rhodes a vraiment été une artiste magnifique, aussi bien pour sa splendeur vocale que pour son engagement dramatique. Une interprète d'une rare sensibilité. Merci, merci, merci d'avoir mis cet extrait en ligne.
Hi, it's a beautiful opera I love it. If you want more about Fiery Angel music you must to hear 3th Symphony it's also fantastic because the orchestra partiture is very similar, I recomended you
yes, I know, it was already in my 'more info', but good that u mention it again. I love his third symphony, its material is all derived from the opera. You should also read Valery Bryusov's fantastic novel to get the 'complete picture' ;)
thank you!! its great! i love it :)

Good, very good, but I prefer Russian version (not because I am Russian))) ), because the authors melodics is broken.
