I have gotten Westone UM2 from Hearing Aid Center where they could make it custom for me. They don't need special custom mold to sound great. With custom molding you make them slightly more comfortable for your precious ears. Also, sorry to say, but you custom look ugly. I don't want to tell you what they remind me. I don't want to spoil appetite of many readers. Anyway, spending more than $100 to make Westone UM2 is not very wise thing. If I were you, I would buy new cable for those IEMs.
what are the models of the tips what are they called? and can the tips be used with other head sets? i have alot of different head sets but the tips is what gets me the most i havent found a good one yet ive tried the silicon and memory foam but it eventually slides out after 30 minutes or so can never get them to stay in i need some that go deeper into my ear.those look like it would

The balanced armature drivers that 1964 uses have a much wider frequency response than UE's drivers therefore they don't need as many drivers. And a higher price does not necessarily mean a higher quality. Anyways I cant afford any of these either haha so its all good :)

Just purchased the Westone AC2's. They are the dual drivers similar to the UM2's. I haven't heard them in their full quality since I had to send them back for refit, but I'm hoping that they sound as good or better than my current UM2's -- which I love. I use the UM2's currently for monitoring on stage and you cannot beat their accuracy. Hope you are loving them! :)
I have some Westone UM1 and sound great but I am not persuaded in the treble ... They seem somewhat artificial (for one's own limitation of these translators compared the electrodynamic) I think much much better with the model Westone UM2 RC (I think that you own) or 3 and I hope someday to get as Westone is a classic of intra-headphones. I got the Westone ES5 ( $950 ) which is the best earphone Westone makes at this moment. The earphone in this video is the Westone UM1's. Great entry level earphones.

You WILL need hearing aids. Use pen "cans" with relatively low volume. Otherwise you'll regret it. What's wrong with ambient noise, anyway? It's what the ears are for--to promote communication and warn one of dangerous conditions, etc. This is my current stance, but I'm willing to listen to alternate opinions.

That goes for standing in front of a blaring PA system or working at an airport or operating a jackhammer. Protect your hearing just as you would your eyesight and tastebuds or whatever. hang in there. Discuss this with an ear,nose, and throat physician (specialist). Lots of musicians have messed up hearing: Pete Townsend, Jeff Beck....

@strandwolf I did wear cans. They make my ears ring... Those kept out 22DB, and these keep out 25DB.

@Cornsnake33 I mean the so-called "open headphones". Actually any kind of headphones can do damage to the haircells due to overstressing your delicate anatomy. That goes for standing in front of a blaring PA system or working at an airport or operating a jackhammer. Protect your hearing just as you would your eyesight and tastebuds or whatever. hang in there. Discuss this with an ear,nose, and throat physician (specialist). Lots of musicians have messed up hearing: Pete Townsend, Jeff Beck....

@strandwolf Not damaging my hearing it my #1 concern. I'm very cautious about my hearing loss. In other words I always wear ear plus and stuff while I am in loud places, shouldn't 26db keep out enough sound??
