I love the sweet motherly comments at the end. What a great mom! I saw a vid of Claudio Arrau playing this piece and he was completely drenched in perspiration at the end. It's a workout in itself. George, I think your performance is better than his, though.

@lovebiotech yes and he could notate it down but that does still not answer my question - even i can reproduce music heard some-place and i too can compose and orchestrate pieces in my head ready to bring down on paper allthoug my training in that is - sofar - limited to some few pages

je n'ai pas encore "vu" la "previous versions posted before" mais ce que je peux dire sur cette version de sonate 23 de betov qu'elle est aussi tumultueuse qu'entre deux feux, a qui l'un vous brûle et l'autre vous réconforte. Pour être exécutée, il faut au moins 20 minutes, et malgré les 23 min de cette vidéo, j'ai l'impression qu'elle est plus rapide que ce que j'ai pu entendre précédemment.

totally enjoyed this performance. What struck me in the first movement: despite the name it has an underlying stillness that I really hadnt noticed before. Your ability to cope with the taxing contrasts in dynamic really make it work and your lyricism is a constant delight. I hope the concert went as well.
