  • iv just got back from ibiza and my first sunset at cafe del mar and they played this as the sun went down and dissapeared, and there is not a place on earth i would rather have been. could not pick a better song for that occasion. The most amazing thing i have ever seen :-)

  • @stoneynufc Summer 1997 this tune was huge. I was in Ibiza that year at the Cafe del Mar listening to this tune at sunrise. Propa phat tune. Great to see it's still out there and that us 9to5 workin stiffs had a life once.

  • @reshieroo

I actually discover it in Greece , which was really cool as well

  • I have heard bits of this song in tv programs from time to time and wondered who did it and have finally found it after trawling internet music forums for about 2 hours! I'm very happy! great beautiful song.

  • Why cannot anyone make music like this anymore?????

  • truely great.

  • Wonderful video

  • One of the best tracks ever!

The vid just shows how important it is that we NEVER let this sort of death and destruction happen ever again. Does anyone in this world really want to go through all of this again???

  • Timeless music! Peace and greets from Austria Salzburg :o)

  • was this ever used as background music in a PC game?

i seem to remember it in a soundtrack... sim city comes to mind but i think that had midi sound :/

  • @Kingdom12 Adidas Evo Soccer something like that, used for the background music to promote the gloves and boots.

  • @ROCKSOLID19 That's a superb call! Cheers

  • Who disliked this is inhuman and it will MELT in hell ! ! !

  • definately looks like the old E. Berlin

  • What a majestic city Berlin was back then

  • Beautiful...on so many levels!

  • Hard to believe we worship the same god. Considering how much damage we did to each other.....

  • Timeless track this

  • Some music will stay with the person forever. Depends where you are at the time and the impact it has on you. Some is throwaway and some is timeless.. This is the latter and always will be.. Music and nostalgia will always be hand in hand :)

  • its soo calm to me .....just perfect

  • just beau-ti-full !!!

  • Pure class

  • a beautiful track that holds many memories for me,some of them good & some of them not so good

  • @FridaLaReina Of course i do. Is it wrong to hope that people can be better? Pessimism is the route to Barbarism.

  • watch, not listen :)

  • Right on KevLancaster!

  • sounds like the pocket trumpet in don cherry's codona in the back

  • This hit clearly defines the meaning of chilled out music. This track is epically cool and a healer of stress.

  • But leftfield do make shithot music though :) lol

  • Amazing...funny how 3 people out of 248 seem to live upside down...

  • Te ragyogsz, te ragyogsz, te ragyogsz....

  • after every wars

  • Mítico!

  • Laziest of the "Big Five" but always in our hearts, because when they did perform, they showed that they we one of the best.

  • this song is perfect at the beach

  • average track. it's a progressive house album, they added this filler.

  • The best song from Leftfield. So peacefull so relaxing , push me to think in positive way about the present day and the future. Sometimes after work I love to listen this song. Only 5 minutes but sometimes is enough to get ride of the stress from work. Hard to belive that so much BRILLANT song came from 1995.

More music like this on youtube, please.

  • melt in the mouth music

  • This song is Ray Mears-tastic.

  • From 1.32 its wicked!!!! Puts me into my own world...

  • It has been a very long time to hear this track, but it still is mesmerizing!

  • amazing track . love it !!!

  • strange track, but it works with drugs...

  • @xDoubleZer00x oh my god, you made me laugh to tears! i hope you don't do drugs!

  • @xDoubleZer00x hell yeah it does

  • Contender for the best album of the 1990's.

    This music is still Massive.

  • @theNeathBoy it's definetly up there amongst the classics, for the uk anyway.

  • I thought this was from the 80's

I spent, like some of you, trying to find out where came from. I came across it on BBC documentari, so powerful, yet understated. It was usually with docs about social poverty. Wanted to know for years then found out onlu a few years ago. I spoke to others that found it picked them up for a night out. What! Can't see that myself. It always reminded me of cold wet November evenings coming back from school. Yet, even so, there is something poignant about it.

  • cool vid and no words can reflect how much i adore this tune, an ALL time classic x: )

  • @20atlas20

    Im with you mate

  • the best 2 electronic albums of the last 20 years and so diferent from the usual crap time for another album boys

  • memorable tune! one of those u can find very rarely! absolute CLASS

  • omg, years are passing.... That song was even on PS first football game soundtrack. Adidas Power Soccer omg! 96! Leftism 1 of best album ever..

  • @t4nzbug yeah man, I spent years trying to find this song from adidas power soccer! the short fmv with the goalkeeper tipping the ball over the bar. nostalgia.

  • @Swiltching Yes, that is where I found it also.

  • @Swiltching Melt has this tone and aura that is completly different and in documentaries, it is used as background music while there is a scene that looks depressing like this vid or something stunning like waves crashing into a chalk or granite cliff with pigeons being beautifully slaughter by Perigrine Falcons above the waves diving down at 200mph+ with a tailwind.

  • album of the decade

  • This tune is top !!! It makes me want to drift away,

  • This is the song that approach me to electronic music, many years ago and now i find here!!!For me is the best piece never maked.Always in my mind and in my hearth!!!

  • this is what YOU do

  • love it!!

  • no eu!!

  • England...there will never be a europe..bye bye!

  • Only just found this song today with Shazam on the iPhone sampled from a documentary about slow motion cameras.

Always wanted to find out the name of it after hearing it on Horizon years back, I even emailed the BBC!

  • Been looking for the title of this song for years! at last ive found it. :)

    Cheers.

  • ...chill...

  • Would be the best soundtrack to a 2010 remake of 'Flight of The Navigator' Somebody with deeper pockets than I, please do it!

  • This melts my mind. The best soundtrack is in there.

  • is this track on a film? i swear i've heard it on one before?

  • OMG Cant wait to see them at Rockness this year! Possibly gona be the best Rockness ever

  • mega kawalek zawsze jak go slucham wspominam wspaniale chwile z mlodosci

  • Superb. If the film makers bring out a modern version of The French Connection, 'Melt' would be an ideal soundtrack.

  • is "melt" an original by someone else? it just sounds early 80's and i thought i heard it before the 90's. Thanks,

  • This is the original mate.

  • 2:46 is just beauty

  • my fave is at 1.33 when that synth kicks in

  • I'm glad we share this.

  • @KevLancaster1 Ending the oppression wars in the Middle East could be a good start

  • @KevLancaster1 Good words, wishes and intentions solve nothing. This behaviour is intrinsic to human nature. Unfortunate as it may seem, realistically, it will continue.

  • @fronkenpoop i love a realist

  • @fronkenpoop we are all flawed with greed and wanting whats ours. And it's never enough...so we want whats someone elses too.Same goes for global warming, would you give up your foreign holiday to save the planet? HELL NO, youve earned that, you want it, deserve it. We are all flawed to the max. But, dont feel bad, it's how we are meant to be. It's what human nature is all about, as sure as fish swim in the sea and monkeys climb trees. We kill each other, ourselves, and destroy all around us :(

  • @mysterywhylay Why use 5 words, when 300 will do.

  • @fronkenpoop Words, wishes and intentions solve nothing. I agree. But its a start. When they are backed up with actions its a different matter. Human nature and behaviour is changing all the time. Biologically, socially. Nothing stays exactly the same forever. So, to say that this behaviour is fundamentally intrinsic to humans is inaccurate. Unless you deny Darwin.

  • @KevLancaster1 It's already happening now. Darfur, Congo, Somalia, Afghanistan, Gaza...

  • @KevLancaster1 Where do you get your weed?

  • @PoppinCone I dont smoke weed mate. I just feel bad when i see suffering. Dont you? Would you be happier if id said something racist or horrible? Anyway, listen to the music.

  • @KevLancaster1

I think these was the exact words that G.W.B. jr said when he became president of u.s.(or was it the father?).

I could be wrong but for sure that was the meaning...

    Mmmm...

Now that I think about it , it could be T.Blair who said it...

Makes no deference, they are both man of peace...

  • Leftfield music is excellent, a very-well classic into electronic world!!!... and Melt rocks!

  • @Geonode Melt has this tone and aura that is completly different and in documentaries, it is used as background music while there is a scene that looks depressing like this vid or something stunning like waves crashing into a chalk or granite cliff with pigeons being beautifully slaughter by Perigrine Falcons above the waves diving down at 200mph+ with a tailwind.

  • Still standing the test of time.

  • Electronic Rules!

  • Absolutely breath taking!.. One of the greatest bands ever...!

  • So sad to think we can do this to each other. These are like the scenes from the pianist by roman polanski . The place looks like its been hit by an atom bomb. Even in England the celebrations could only last so long... During the fifties the amount of cases of mental illness, domestic abuse and suicide were at record levels because of national poverty, destruction, and post traumatic stress in soldiers returning home from battle. And still we haven't learned.... I hope we can b4 its 2 late

  • this was used for blade runner i think

  • Bladerunner was made a long time before this track..it has some similarities with Vangelis.

  • ive seen them use this as a project for blade runner

  • I loved this back in 96

  • still do

  • The video just makes me think they were going through the same crap as we were.....all those lives disrupted because of the ambitions of a load of nutters....really messed up this world

  • Which "we" are you referring to?

  • mbr196341

Agree man, so awesome...I love Rhythm and stealth....but it sounded like they overkilled on the 'dubness' and the same software too much.....still cracking though!

  • Greatttttt

  • Is that Berlin?

  • I Absolutely adore this track. Shame that he never equalled this album.

  • guestbook in a monastry comment

  • Makes me cry for some reason..

  • this reminds me of tangerine dream... Only heard one album by the (Arcitechture in Motion) which is bloody amazing music. Check it out people :D

  • there is no wrong video to this! its a piece of music not a documentary. put what video you like to it

  • Wow! I love this music but to incoparate with a after war footage of Dresden totally sent shivers down my spine. It makes it so... I cant explain. At school they tought me about WW1 & 2 and Nazi this Jew that. Seeing this Video made me realize how little my teacer knows and how one way the teaching was.

  • Agreed. Not all Germans were evil and not all Allies were innocent

  • amzing

  • Where did this film come from ? I assume it's 1945 Berlin.

  • Yeah, the Reichstag is definatley in it, doesn't mean it's all Berlin though. Bits might be lifted from other cities. Most German cities kinda looked the same by 1945. Shame really, they had a lot of nice old buildings that were gone for good!

  • Thee whole video is set in Berlin, and what you mean is not the Reichstag but the Berliner Dom (Berlin Minster).

    best regards from Berlin ;)

  • Just perfect...Traveling without moving:)
