  • Is this effect to do with the Q value?

  • @IsItTrue99

    I don't know

    Luc

  • @gotoluc Dam it!, that means I'll have to think for myself!

  • Very intersting..Cool

  • Another good demo!

  • I wish my function generator wasn't blown up.

  • sry, where do u get the LCR meter for 20 bucks?

  • Hi cwchee86,

you can get them on eBay. Just search for LCR meter.

  • Please post the schematic.

  • It is a series LC circuit. If you need more information use the links to the forum topics located in the description box next to the video.

You said "I can guarantee that coil 'rings' MUCH lower then 700k" but now you ask for a circuit???

    Luc

  • Hi Luc, s wuld you say now that HOW a coil is mad DOES in fact make a difference since the coils you have made since this video?

  • Hi Ed,

there maybe more ideal ways of winding coils but I don't have that confirmed yet. Still need to to test different configurations to see if it matters.

  • I asked for a schematic so I could see your tank. Series LC says enough. My point was just that your not measuring coil resonance, your measuring your tank circuits resonance. That's all you want to do is light a neon off flyback? If I have time I'll whip something up. I'll post some scope shots.

  • I can guarantee that coil 'rings' MUCH lower then 700k

  • Hi lazzer408,

I'm sure you can make it ring lower but I would be interested to see your video demo showing a signal generator output going through the same bulb (in series) extinguished (next to no milliamps) and the Neon at full brightness.

Please send me your video link once you have achieved this.

    Thanks

  • Nice Video, Thanks..

  • Just to say thanks Luc.

  • absolutely amazing stuff luc. keep up the good work. you've got me thinking

  • THANK-YOU!!!!!! Your explanations are through and accurate and I look forward to the rest of your videos...

Thank-you again, I love that you had a way for the average joe (without oscilliscope) can attain resonance.

  • great info. 5 GIGANTIC STARS

  • 5 stars as always.

  • Thanks for sharing. How does one emulate the frequency generator in a circuit? I mean you don't want to have the box for circuits you build. I would like to tune my coils in my Bedini.. I guess my other question is can one do any useful work with resonance.

  • Thanks Luc

    Great Work!!!

  • Thank you Gotoluc. This video is a great example. Very simple and easy to understand. Good Job!!!!
