heres an idea. water jets for the hot tub its simple first but a wall around the hot tub and put the pistons under wall with stairs or latter to get out and then have a switch for them and water behind piston disrupting water when in use

Lava is just slow at stopping, I think. It'll eventually stop. But sometimes it seems like it doesn't. I made a lava waterfall in one of my old files, I could pour the bucket over my tower, take the ladder down, and stand on the ground and watch it SLOWLY pour down the sides. So slow.
