i got a question about the tank at 1:12. the grass that is above the rock/cliffs, do you buy it like that? or do you have to somehow plant the grass on top of it to be make it look that neat?
2:48 is the most eyepleasing to me. I plan on making a close replica to that with a few modifications. I like the colors because it looks like scenery from one of my favorite movies. ^^
at 2:20 is exactly like the tank that I have at home...exactly...well except the fact that mine doesn't have any plants or any decoration yet, but the rest is exactly the same...well may be if i pour some water in it .... well little details who gonna notice them...
how do you clean a tank when is planted with live plants? can you put angel fish, molly and guppies in a planted tank? i want to get a 55 gallon fish tank but do you use the gravel vacuums to clean the bottom gravel of the tank? are live plants hard to care? any information will be appreciated. thank you.
watching this makes me want to drown myself in my own poor fugly aquarium. So beautiful. I will just have to console myself with the fact that those plants wouldn't last a day with my mean bastard, voracious, piggy fish.
It is not too expensive to maintain once it is up, the tank and lighting are also fairly cheap if you choose a small setup, the only real 'price' is the time you take in maintenance and if you choose to buy exotic plants.
the tank at 0:40 looks really dirty maybe its the wood, but if thats the case then the aquascaper should have preped the wood the right way. or it could be because the light is orange on purpose. but idk
Anybody has any idea as to how they keep the creeping plants like hairgrass or HC from growing onto the white gravel/sand they have in some of the tanks. I'm thinking of re-scaping my tank soon and i wanna re-create those white sand pathways that they do so nicely in some of the set-ups.
i believe the red plant at 1:11 is Ludwigia arcuata which can grow red under high lighting or the right strain. another similar plant is rotala macaranda "red". thanks
0:39 is a biotype where it tries to replica a natural environment, i wouldnt have added it but the person who entered, entered in the wrong section lol

@lopez5678 You have to trim it to keep it looking neat like that. Starts to grow long and a nice trim will make it nice and compact

@Limpedalong but how do the plants get on the rock? do you buy them like that ? or does it magically grow on it lool?

Ive gotta be honest and say while they look good I couldn't help but notice a lack of fish and where the fish were present they were all quite small.
I think aquascaping has to strike a balance between fish and the environment. Too much of one or the other just looks odd imho
