Fellow Altoiders, sorry for the delay with tutorials, I've just been too busy to get back into this lately. The build is pretty straight forward. Find a set of old small self amplified computer speakers (that use 5vdc input) and open them up to see if the pcb will fit in your alotid tin. These were from old eMachine speakers. Get 2 "headphone" speakers from radio shack and an 1/8" headphone port. Tear it all apart and reassemble the whole thing in the tin.
Thank you all for your comments! I'm glad you all have enjoyed the build. I have been very busy with work lately so my Altoids projects have been shelved. Check back periodically as I hope to have tutorials up for all my builds soon! Thanks again and keep "Altoiding"!
finally i have found a person who actually knows the way of the Altoid! Dude you need to keep up all these altoid videos, you give all of us under privilaged Altoid lovers hope! I have been looking for so many Altoid projects and done some of them and i continue to search for more. You make all the unique ones and i like to build those on my time, so thanks!
Nice build. I like the portability. There are tons of Altoids builds on the Net, but this is one of the best. One suggestion: cut a hole in the door and cover it with screen so you can hear the speakers when it's closed.
@dmsllvuny I really appreciate the positive comment! I got hooked on these altoids projects after watching some of them here on YouTube. I just posted my new Altoids "RoadWarrior" project, 8AAA batteries, a 4gb thumb drive, high intensity LED flashlight, Bluetooth receiver, USB hub and USB iPhone/MP3/Blackberry charger!! Haha, I guess that's why I shortened the name to "RoadWarrior". Anyway, thanks again for the compliment and suggestion!!
