The best Metal front man with full range vocals battle between most Metal heads in the early to mid 80's consisted of the following front men: Rob Halford of JP, Geoff Tate of Queensryche & Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. They all had and still have exceptional vocal range and talent. I always chose Halford, who stood out just a bit more than the rest with his range from total shred to operatic siren. This was a choice by most then and still is now with zero disrespect to the others in any way.

It's too bad Rob's voice is shot these days. It must be depressing to see this footage of himself of what used to be. Now all he does is look down at the ground and rock back and forth like someone digging deep to maybe just once get back that voice he once had.
