@deividbx I'm not sure about him talking to the detective, but I know for a fact the "HEY! RASTA MAN! I MEAN, MON. WE BE JAMMIN!" part was in the book. I recall dying of laughter over it.
Oh wow, they totally fitted that 'rasta man' part of the book in a totally irrelevant part of the movie. he only said that in the book coz he was fucked and by himself and didn't have anyone else to hang out with lol.
i need help getting that song in begining scene.. i wanna sample it and make a beat out of it.. if anoyone can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks
Whenever I see deleted scenes, I almost always see why they were deleted. This no exception. I am really glad they didn't use this. It takes away from the style of the movie, it makes both Bateman and the movie itself seem more simple, and sophomoric. "Oh no, he said he likes to interrogate people in relaxed environments, and he's interrogating Patrick in a relaxed environment!"
yeah, I can't even believe they shot this stupid scene.
@IAMtheNewWorldOrder for the most part yes, but i reckon almost all the deleted scenes that are in the lord of the rings extended films are well worth it
@IAMtheNewWorldOrder I disagree. As a former film student, I understand the importance of covering all your bases by shooting more than you actually need. Whilst this was not a necessary scene, I don't believe that it was "stupid". Perhaps it seemed better in the writer's/director's head at the time, but I see little wrong with it. Also, remember that this is the scene without post-production, which can make a big difference to the feel of a scene as a whole.
As this never became an actual scene, they hadn't bothered finalising it with overlaying the background music. This is how they film scenes that involve a noisy background, it's filmed quietly with just the actors engaged in dialogue - everyone else is miming.

Even with the scene is as stupid as this, Bale does a hell of a job acting in it.

@IAMtheNewWorldOrder its from the book...thats why they shot it

@IAMtheNewWorldOrder Agreed. As opposed to the other interrogation scenes being suspenseful, this one is downright awkward and synthetic. Ugh.

The rasta man part was in the book.
He was trying to impress a girl by acting like he was hip so he approached the guy with dreads.
Then he later buys $90 worth of rap CDs.

Bateman oozes cool, he's the sort of bloke all men wanna be and women want in them!
