Right on opinionated. We fight and finance wars all over the world while a huge percentage of our own population are unemployed, homeless, hungry, under educated, in prison.... give me a break with this frantic need to help the people of Myanmar. If our government is so bent on being the benevolent benefactor then lets start with our own country.
I feel for every person anywhere affected by tragedy, Burma/Myanmar included but I agree with postings here. Let's get this house in order first. There is so many Americans right now that are in dire need of our help. They do not have oil and don't belong to a rogue political system but if it is humanitarian aid we are talking about, they need us.
The only reason we (the USA) are so interested in "helping" Myanmar is to get in and get our hooks into the country for thier oil.
Myanmar Oil and Gas topped export earnings with $2.16 billion from gas last year....and they've recently discovered some very lucrative offshore oil fields.
Myanmar has held off the rest of the world for long enough.. We aren't going to take it anymore.... .LET US IN!!!!
They bury the country using WEATHER WEAPONS like HARRP, then they bring debt to the country in the illusion that is debt relief...(Really Debt Loan) and by reframing what they are doing as help they engender support from the sheeple...Promote their image in a parasitical paradigm that engulfs celebrities, civil servants etc.
Nobody says what is truly going on.
Murder of innocent women and children.
Instead we just buy into the lie, calling it conspiracy.
history repeats itself, probably there will be another small form of depression unless the government does something to prevent it and help the economy
