When you start ToV, this song plays during the intro, but leave the pad alone for another 5 mins or so, you'll see an in-game battle scene take place, leave it again then you will see the intro for a second time, but this time with the Japanese vocals version of this song :)

FF13 was the so far worst FF game when it comes to challenge, Gameplay and freedom.

You're basicly FORCED to run along a set path until Chapter 11 and even then it's not even half as free as the old games.

FF13 was also WAY too easy, I hope they make 13-2 a bit harder and atleast make it more free, but I ain't got my hopes too high this time.

ToV however gave you challenge on hard mode, a LOT of freedom and good gameplay.

So for me, ToV is better.

@Zelos014 I played the first time symphonia when I was eight years ago, when the game came out in europe (i'm italian), and for me it was incredibly hard. I stopped at the second fight with Sheena before she joins the group. I didn't play it for a long time, in the meanwhile I played vesperia, and zagi was TOO HARD for me. of course i beated him and a two years ago i finished symphonia (after I fixed it).

Ever since FF7 came out, all the main characters of the future games have either been emo as Fuck! or whiny and annoying. However, Tales characters have, and allways have been incredibly well created. Its obvious that Namco-Bandai actually cares about making a good game with good characters while FF focuses more on the same tired out gameplay and main characters that make you want to kill yourself

@hudson5188 I don't really like the FF series either, but let's not be irrational. The series after 7 has really tried to diversify the gameplay and stories. 'Final Fantasy's X, XII and XIII have all been vastly different from each other, and XII has the best gameplay out of all of them. That said, it still sucks, but it's at least better than XIII. Then again, so is 'Hyperdimension Neptunia'.

@ObsoletePerson I agree, I loved every game before 7. 7 in my opinion is an incredible game, but has terribly overrated characters. the best thing about Tales when compared to FF, is that Namco takes time for their games while Sqaure Enix produces about 2 per year with terrible characters and same old tired gameplay

Final Fantasy will always be better, though. ToV kind of lacked in story compared to FF, plus their characters weren't as thought out as FF's. But, yeah, good game!

Not to say the game isn't good, but it just not amazing. The story line is mediocre, and even worse because they didnt spend enough time on it. Also, some of the anime in the game sucks, couldve been way better. But I understand that the company probably had budget problems, but still it could have been better.
