  • all I have to say is thank you for putting this up

  • even though my computer started acting up and wouldnt load the video i didnt mind because it meant i had to go back and watch it again while waiting

  • the dosie doe that took place in the field made this experience that much more magical! <3

  • nice to find this song sounded up beat instead of sad and slow, gotta love the south

  • HA! WHERE DID BEN GO?! hahahaha!!

  • my two favorite people, ketch and marcus, sharing a microphone. THIS IS AWESOME

  • Man, I've watched this video so many times. It makes me happy.

  • nipples hardened and goosebumps grew at 2:19

  • Thanks for posting this. Definitely my favorite part of the entire festival this year. If they're back again next year, I hope they play the which stage again. I couldn't imaging Mumford on the What stage - so impersonal.

  • Finding this video really nudged my girlfriend and I (who are in a folk duo in Plymouth) to do our own version. If you'd like to check it out, please do. Just a first jam, but what fun we had! x

  • @TheDevilsDuoMusic i usually don't let comments advertising their own channel up... but since it's relative, and a damn good cover... i'll let it slide :)

  • @x1337xCAZIE I'd like to give a special mention to Castlecomer's cover of 'Amazing Grace', because I found them through the cover they did of 'The Cave', which was also amazing.

Their harmonies are really something special, and by God they do justice to both songs!!!

  • @TheDevilsDuoMusic Also if you'd like to make it a video response to this, I'd approve it ;)

  • @x1337xCAZIE aw, thank you. Was just looking to show what your post inspired....didn't think about the cheeky value. Sorry. Lol. That's wonderful, how do we make it a response?

  • @TheDevilsDuoMusic i can't figure it out lol, youtube is changing so much shit up. but if you do, it's approved :)

  • @x1337xCAZIE I know, it's always changing when you've gotten used to it. I think you have to enable the responses, and then I can apply to you for you to approve. If you're happy to go to that trouble, we'd be so grateful. Can't stop listening to this. Ha. Did an all nighter for coursework and this was repeated from 1am-9.30am. :)

  • @TheDevilsDuoMusic you just click the comment box and a thing should appear saying "create a video response" and you click it and it's pretty straightforward from there

  • @KiannarratheDemon666 So easy when you know how! Thank you very much!

  • Phenomenal...thank you for posting.

  • @TheDevilsDuoMusic Welcome man :)

  • Mumford & Sons' banjo player looks like Mose from the Office.

  • How can anyone dislike this?!? Awesome perspective video, thanks for it!

  • @thunder9968 thanks for the comment :3

  • British hillbillys ? ... cool.

  • @mazak70 appreciate the comment but they're not really hillbillies lol. at least not my definition.

  • @mazak70 Our folk music really is not a world away.

  • I freaking miss Bonnaroo! Can't wait to go back this summer

  • this is great! I was there, too, and had the time of my life..especially seeing these guys. I love the wild camera work...that's exactly what it felt like being in that crowd - crazy joyful fun! great audio for sure. Thanks!!

  • @sumuel Thanks man lol, and thanks for the comment on the camera work, i would normally just have a tripod and have it steadily set on the stage but during that show, my attentions were everywhere so i incorporated that into the filming.

  • Where was this filmed.......sooooo much atmosphere.......would love to see them live.

  • @cronas2 Bonnaroo.

  • @x1337xCAZIE

I'm going to have to Google that....never heard of it before....thanks for the reply though :)

  • @cronas2 It's a huge music festival in Tennessee, very fun, recommend going if you can make the trip.

  • phenomemenal

  • Nothing says, "AMERICA" like Jorts and a waistcoat....

  • Damn hippies. Walking around town to town with a damn starvin' shitty ass dog. Bus load of germ totin' fuck trophies running wild. Gypsies...

  • @tjh32673 lulwut

  • I have never in my 36 yrs ever come across a group of men so shabby & unkempt!!! With that said...... THEY ARE AS SEXY AS FUCKING HELL!!!! THEY are my AMAZING GRACE, add in OCMS,AR & CS just awesome!!!

  • i truely blieve this is the best version i've ever heard

  • @aderoun69 Thanks :3

  • what bands were doing this song?

  • @beamer2809 Old Crow Medicine Show, Apache Relay and Cadillac Sky

  • i was there, and it was BEAUTIFUL. i'm not at all ashamed to say i cried.

  • i bet this makes god smile

  • @x1337xCAZIE Please don't apologize for the camera. Just to hear Marcus's voice is heaven and has made my day. Thankyou so much. P.S. Marcus is a friggin sexy hulk of a man <3

  • very good!!! i love that they kept it traditional while making it their own

  • @Compass427 it really is wonderful, i had so much fun watching their own set.

  • @x1337xCAZIE I can't wait till they come to Florida. We're not on their schedule this year, but maybe next year.... sigh....

  • @Compass427 You won't be disappointed.

  • @Compass427 Sign No More :)

  • i was there, this video doesn't even do the harmonies justice. I actually cried because it was so beautiful (and i was sober as a bird)

  • The tune is a traditional American melody, so I think saying it's an American folk song is fine

  • @hojoslugger301 - The song was written by an English Poet (/clergyman) John Newton... Admittedly played in a style somewhat different to the original perhaps, but a far cry from an 'American folk song'.

  • @cathpuffett No need to bash the guy, he just said it was a good song lol. Regardless of it being folk or not, besides, I'd consider it American Folk.

  • it's so cool to see british dudes singing american folk songs.

  • Woah! Why does Ben jump off of the stage near the end? I really want to know!

  • @MySanguineEyes He ran off and was playing through this big long isle they had opened up to the sound booth. I tried to get some footage of him but i also had to enjoy the show myself :p

  • Heh Jerry Douglas seems to just appear everywhere

  • this is awesome!!!!! love it
