Hasek in an interview one time said that the one player he "really worried about while on the ice was Mario". He would always tell his defanceman, "nevermind Jagr, cover Mario!" The one player who had Hasek's number when it came to being scored on was Mario, he made it look easy while other top goal scorers were pissed in frustration after being stymed.

It would be great to have Jagr back in a Penguins uniform for the 2011-12 season...have him on a line with either Crosby or Malkin (or do like the Pens did with Lemieux, Jagr and Francis) and load 'em up on occasion for a super line. The 2011 World Championships showed that JJ still has a lot of gas left in the tank.

@mkailov13 I don't think you realized that Jagr played 49 regular season games THEN played 14 Play off games last year. He averaged a point per game.

Not ONLY did he play 63 games he went on during the summer to play in the World Championship. Playing 9 more games scoring 5 goals and 4 assists(netting a hat trick against the US.

So in one year he played 72 Professional hockey games. He can take a year in the NHL.

He can still play. We'llsee how he does with weak centers in Philly.

It wasnt until Lemieux retired for 3 years when Jagr was named captain for those seasons, and when Mario came back, they let Jagr keep the "C"

As much as I hated Jagr when he left the Penguins, things happen. We can't expect EVERY star to be a franchise player just because Lemieux was. At some point we will most inevitably see the departure of either Crosby or Malkin or maybe both (hopefully not for at least another 5 years though)

Anyway, that being said, IF Jagr ends up back on the Penguins next year, that would be SICK!

Jagr mainly played with francis. But as of just having 2 greats on your team Jagr and Lemieux were better than Kurri and Gretzky. Lemieux and Gretzky are a dead tie and Jagr was def better than Kurri. Although lets face it Jagr's best yrs were after these players were all past their prime.

When they were in desperation mode jagr and lem played together but every team does that with their superstars. Penguins just a better team than the Rangers this year. Period. Rangers showed a lot of determination and grit to win game 4 and tie game 5. I give them that. The Rangers have a really good hockey team. But the penguins just playing at a higher level. You cant blame your problems on the refs. Thats just not right. Rangers terrible on the power play, and they had PLENTY of opportunities. Blame it on that. But I have a ton of respect for the Rangers, and I am not one of the Jagr haters.
