yes Vergil did die but in DMC4 Nero's demon arm is a embodiment of Vergils soul,thats why Nero dident want to hand Vergils sword over to Dante he felt a conection and if you played the game you would see that Nero gets his demon form or devil triger after he touches Vergils sword with his demon arm and allso when you use the devil triger the voice you hear is a mix of Neros voice and Vergils voice form DMC3 so he is in DMC4... :) i just hope that there will be a DMC5 and that vergil is in it
