I live in Scotland, and I am sitting with my feet up, and looking around my room as I am convinced a spider is gonna jump out at me or run across my feet.
very aggressive. but watching this proves that the brazilian wandering spider is more aggressive...they never ever would handle a wandering spider as casually as this funnel web without getting nailed...
I absolutely HATE spiders. I love sharks. They stay right there in the ocean, so I know exactly where the fuck they are. At 1:56, he screams nowhere NEAR as loud as I would if I was the one finding it in my kids blanket...
I hate spiders more thananything in the world. They freak me the hell out and make me scream like a girl! But is it weird that I thought it was kinda cute at 4:41 when the thing attacked the tank it was in? lol
If I cross its path I'm spose to call the police? What if it doesn't bite me? I just call and be like "OMG THERE'S A FUNNEL WEB IN HERE!" "Yah..did you get bitten?" "NO BUT ITS SCARY!" "...."
I am an experienced tarantula keeper and have WAY more aggressive spiders than the Funnel web.. I'm not stupid around them but a Cobra could pounce at you, the spider would rather run away.
And they can fit under the edge of the washing machine or dryer - a cobra is too big for that. Spiders can fit inside the handle of a shovel handle, right where you would grab it. I fucking HATE that!
You can conceivably grab a cobra by the neck. How the hell do you grab a spider - with knives for fangs, when you are jerking reflexively in blind panic?

@chrisboi08 well you are correct to some degree..but there is a spider that is even more potent than the brazillian.(sicarius hahni}or the six eyed crab spider.found in south africa., this spider posseses hemolytic/necrotoxic....it remains off of the radar because of its shy nature.

The brazillian wandering spider is more dangerous. People did'nt died anymore from this one since the antivenom was devolpved for this spider, but for the wandering spider there is a antivenom too. But that one has to be adminisered almost immedeatly, or you'll die. But both spiders are very dangerous and could kill you.

Yes the video is realistic... I see FW every day in my swimming pool in warm weather, we just scoop them out & place back into garden... We Aussies are just used to them, leave them alone & they leave you alone type thing. But i will say that the FW is a very aggressive defensive spider if provoked...

Brazilian Wandering Spider is even worse than the Funnel Web Spider. Both are in the same level of agressiveness and both are wander into homes but the Brazilian Wandering has a venom that is even worse than the Funnel Web
@XxXLordPainXxX666 That is simply not true. Brazilian wandering spider is rated highest in the record book based on the LD50 test (how the venom affects mice). Funnel web venom only affects primates so this was a pretty stupid way to compare the two. On top of that both the northern and southern tree dwelling funnel webs have a significantly more potent venom and higher venom yield then the Sydney funnel web. I couldn't say with absolute certainly but an EDUCATED guess is Northern Tree Funnelweb
They usually make a home of cicada burrows... Each year when the spring rains trigger cicadas to burrow to the surface... Funnel web spiders wud use their holes as homes... Then humans arrived... With air-con, ceramic tiles... And the chase for cockroaches across the back yard...

The world's deadliest spider would actually be the Browl Recluse spider. The most venemous would be the Brazillian Wanderer. The Sydney Funnel would probably be somewhere in the middle.

One of my mates in Sydney had one in his apartment as he was going to put his sockets on it came out lucky he accidentally dropped the sock first.
He told me that the spider was making every effort to bite him he spayed it with no less than 2 cans of fly spray and still was alive an venom was still dripping from it fags. From then on he sold his apartment because of it.

Brazilian Wandering Spider is even worse than the Funnel Web Spider. Both are in the same level of agressiveness and both are wander into homes but the Brazilian Wandering has a venom that is even worse than the Funnel Web

@XxXLordPainXxX666 That is simply not true. Brazilian wandering spider is rated highest in the record book based on the LD50 test (how the venom affects mice). Funnel web venom only affects primates so this was a pretty stupid way to compare the two. On top of that both the northern and southern tree dwelling funnel webs have a significantly more potent venom and higher venom yield then the Sydney funnel web. I couldn't say with absolute certainly but an EDUCATED guess is Northern Tree Funnelweb

They usually make a home of cicada burrows... Each year when the spring rains trigger cicadas to burrow to the surface... Funnel web spiders wud use their holes as homes... Then humans arrived... With air-con, ceramic tiles... And the chase for cockroaches across the back yard...

@CokedUpPuppy i would have to disagree with you to the pint about not as nasty. the Brown recluse has a horrible reputation as you know, i live in Ontario,Ottawa, never seen one or experienced one, but they tend to get looked over because of their lack of fericious look. Almost looking like a normal house spider, but its a real wolf in sheeps clothing.

Well, you don't have to 'call authorities' every time you see one.
Just if you see too many and you have children and pets because believe it or not, its actually quite a rare thing to see one.
I live in Sydney, and have for a long time. I have seen them a few times... Just try not to piss it off and you should be fine lol

The world's deadliest spider would actually be the Browl Recluse spider. The most venemous would be the Brazillian Wanderer. The Sydney Funnel would probably be somewhere in the middle.

One of my mates in Sydney had one in his apartment as he was going to put his sockets on it came out lucky he accidentally dropped the sock first.
He told me that the spider was making every effort to bite him he spayed it with no less than 2 cans of fly spray and still was alive an venom was still dripping from it fags. From then on he sold his apartment because of it.
