Hey, I truly love guitar and I truly love Prince's material. Your version of this piece is so mellow! I'd like to compare your playing to other artists like Lee Ritenour in "Early AM Attitude" and also his peace "Is It You". Your playing has a meditaranean/Latin vibe, like his--which I so totally enjoy! If you're ever in the Ohio area, perhaps you'd like to go into studio and do that peace with me (I play piano and sing.)

@mredline1 There was a show called 'Prince: A musical portrait' on the bbc years ago that had a bit of a lovesexy soundcheck with Prince playing Do Me Baby instrumental on the guitar, the show is well worth checking out if ever you get a chance, had some unusual footage in it, including an amazing bass solo he did for partyman...that never made it onto the record! the first bars of the video are based on that lovesexy soundcheck, with a bit of the Tokyo Dome dvd too

The arpeggiated loop is based on the Nude tour tokyo 1990 bootleg that's out there, and I nabbed a bit of solo from the Def II BBC documentary that had do me baby from Lovesexy rehearsals on it...other than that it's improvised....in one take...that's all you get! Warts and all!

Message response: It was a boss DD20 for the loop, handy little stomp box...though they do better ones now with longer loop time. Chords are Emaj7, Ebmin7, Ab add 9.

It was played like that on the nude tour, so that Tokyo boot would be one, but i've seen others too. Hope that helps!
