  • Man. Tom Paine was waaaay ahead of his time.

  • Thomas Paine favored the French Revolution which was very socialistic in nature. "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity" The French Revolution was completely different than the American Revolution. The poor wanted everyone to have equal wealth and killed the rich for it. Looking to one man who created a "Common Sense" is one thing... the rest of his ideas were considered too radical by the rest of the Founding Fathers thus why Paine wasn't important after 1776 in the US and why he moved on to France.
