If you are buying by the box, then retail is the worst thing you could do. If you pay $60 for a box and pull a randy Cage card that only sells for $15, then you have a pile of worthless cards you paid too much for. Unfortunately, hobby boxes are $150, so this is not the best lottery to play either. Both are proportionally horrible. The only way to win is to be lucky, which rarely happens for me. I think it's better to buy individual cards by looking for deals and making offers.
do you think it is smarter to buy retail mma or hobby because i just started to collect ufc and i pulled a Randy Couture cage card and a Chuck Liddell mat relic out of retail, so which do you think is better?
Sorry bout that, It actually was on Ebay last night ending as I uploaded this. It ended up selling for 10.09. So I lost about $10 after fees. I'm pretty sure it was a retail pack, it was pretty skinny, and hobby are much thicker.
There are thick Golds in the retail. I'll recap the price points on the next one. Thanks for watching.
id say you broke even. jon fitch is not to bad of card to get. btw i was wondering what a GSP blue auto would go for?
