You've been around spanish speaking people alot, right? Well, the english language has alot of slang, and sometimes when I'm speaking spanish I use slang to shorten words. For example, I tend to say "graci" instead of "gracias" and i just wondered, would spanish people understand that i mean gracias?
I'm incredibly interested in this series!! i'm not taking a class, but I'm doing my best to learn spanish on my own and your channel has been a tremendous help. I do have a question. Areyou, or can you in a seperate video, discuss in detail about complex sentences? I'm trying to learn how to experss more advance ideas, but a lot of the work books I'm using are basic and I'm concerned about perfecting my grammer. Thank you for all of your help. :D
omg how did I miss this lesson yesterday, lol? I am super excited for this series. Thank you so much for sharing these lessons with us. You are always clear and simplify problem areas for us. Broken record, but I just love your videos. A thousand thumbs up! :)))
Thank you so much for these videos! I'm half Hispanic and sadly, I'm not fluent in Spanish. Ever since I entered high school, I've been studying Spanish. Sadly, the Spanish classes they provide in school aren't that helpful. Although I do learn SOME things, the teaching methods don't seem to work on us students. I am so glad that I stumbled upon your videos, because I can study Spanish in my free time with a teacher who goes into great detail and cares about his students.
hello, sir you have been a great teacher for me the way you explain things is very helpful for me.And i ill be great full to you if you do a lesson on Spanish accent mark rule........AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!
@pon00050 Did you view my video: Overview of Spanish verb tenses? Tell me if you think I do not adequately cover the compound tenses with haber in that video. What other questions do you have?
@languagenow At the beginning, of course. It's like watching a news announcer reading off from cue cards, or a politician reading some speech. It just does not look natural. That's just me; others might be OK with that.
@cpaniaguam Kind of annoying you complaining about FREE resources you can use to learn a foreign language. Move on to the next videos if you don't like it.
@TechniquePrevails I believe you are missing something, mister. I did not complain; I made a suggestion. I kindly invite you to read my response to an uploader's question regarding my original comment.
@cpaniaguam I see your statements, mister. I still say that to talk about Professor Jason "reading the script" is fairly ridiculous. You didn't make a suggestion, you made a complaint in saying "Kind of annoying you reading the script, prof. Jason"
I understand the point you're trying to make, but I kindly invite you to make constructive criticism a little more "constructively."
This video definitely won't receive an Academy Award, but it just might teach some Spanish... Just saying...
@TechniquePrevails Some people might take offense at someone trying to use one's interlocutor style in a dialog. I had a smile on my face.
I agree with you, sir. In terms of content, the video is fine. I could had constructed my suggestion in a less complaint-sounding way; I give you that. But to say my observation is 'ridiculous'? Evidently, the uploader does not feel that way, and very rightfully so. What opinion would one form over a lecturer who reads everything he or she says?
@TechniquePrevails are you sure about the no Academy Awards? :) OK, not my best video :) I appreciate what you are saying, and I agree that phrasing makes all the difference when it comes to constructive criticism.... But I try to take all criticism well, and look for what I can improve, so I wasn't offended. But thanks very much for your comments!
@shizfergus27 I was not trying to criticize him. Doesn't it feel weird when the speaker turns eyes from the camera to the notes and back to the camera constantly? Here the audience is paying close attention to what is being said and how it is said, turning the slightest distraction into a big distraction.
could i ask more? I can learn spanish and english at the same time with you! That's cool! :)
