With BC-ReArmed it pays tribute to the 8-bit, but with a great amount of subtlety. For example, this track is totally remixed..but you can hear a ton of 8-bit in there, and it fucking rocks!

this is my favorite song in the remake, overall this simon guy did a tremendous job! what i also liked how was in some stages the music sounds faint when you're outside. you just hear the bass pulses then when you enter you hear the entire song.

I'm pretty sure, like in all transactions, the developer will get a percentage of the profits. I don't know the details but I would imagine Simon Viklund would at least get something out of it, however minimal. It is also catalogued in iTunes if you don't trust sumthingdigital, but I don't own an iPod :)
