  • Great job! I'm also working on an openGL project with the theme - festive occasion. After seeing yours, i'm inspired to do a Halloween themed one! but i have a few questions to ask..

    1) How did you manage to loop the lights such that it grows dim then bright again at the start?

    2) How did you get that figure at 0:26 to appear at the door then disappear?

    3) How did you get the "dragged by something" effect at the end?

    4) How did you get the head bobbing effect when you move?

    Thanks alot!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.

    Now, to answer your questions:

    1) I just put the lights on a sine wave, so they are basically going up and down forever.

    2) I made a black cylinder appear behind the door, then I translated it towards the front of the door, so it's basically just a black cylinder moving.

    3) I had 3 different types of scripted movement: walking, running, and "dragged". The last one didn't have head bobbing, it was just moving in the z axis and down the y axis

    4) the head bobbing effect was, also, just a sine wave for the movement on the Y axis when the camera was walking/running, making it constantly go up and down.

    Hope that helped!

  • @cancerbero8 Ah i see, thank you so much!
