@Gothik79 She Ms. Scacchi, has only bad mouthed Vincent in print as far as I've seen, but what is really a kick in pants for her is that her mother Leila's grandmother adores Vincent and he and Leila often visit during summer break when she's out of school. She's attending college now, but I don't know which one. One interview GS did claims that she went to a psychic who told her that "in another life, he -VDO- must have killed you"!?!?!? If that's not looney tunes, I don't know what is.

I fell so in love with "Joseph Santangelo" in this movie. Vincent did an incredible job as he aged from randy young man, to devoted husband, and loving father to a mentally unstable daughter.

I read the book and much prefer the movie despite the miscasting of Lili Taylor as the daughter,Teresa.

She would have been better in the role of Catherine since Tracy Ullman was too old for the role, and someone like Winona Ryder, or Angelina Jolie would have been better as the daughter.
