Can i just say that this will make the patient vomit and it will fracture way more ribs than normal CPR will. Its good in theory but I really don't think it is practical. In hospitals they have something kinda like that and most places that I know of have stopped using them because of the damage they were causing.
@Theg874 that's incorrect. no ribs are usually fractured/broken. this is MUCH better than normal CPR due to regular, same strength beats. i saw it live today in action as i was doing work experience in A&E. incredible piece of equipment. i talked to a consultant, who was previously a surgeon, and asked him if it would break the patients ribs, but he said it doesnt. intreresting really :)
