*SIGH* I think I'm glad i didn't go. The "new decor" is indeed borderline sacrilegious, if not outright tacky. What happened to the old lighting system? Were there proper cloth hand towels in the bathrooms? Sex on the Beach at the Round Bar? The neon...eeep. But hey! the music lives on, and in those of us still with a few working brain cells, the memories. And yep, cornboxtex, Rick Squillante. The man is missed so very, very much. RIP.
Starck Red was a great party -- all those shouts when a familiar song started were something we would have never done back then but now we can't help it1
Skatesloth, I agree! I once went into the club during one of its other incarnations and there was a galvanized beer tub with a skantily clad girl standing behind it...awful!!! Lucite heels don't belong on that pristine terrazzo floor! :)
what an amazing space, makes me think of the star trek episode where a sister ship to the enterprise is found drifting in space, but in this case the crew comes back to life and partays! our little sro club here in tulsa lasted many more years, viva to all of us!
i am dark green that i could not be there. love that texas accent in the bathroom. when were looking from a hilltop, shake it right, and the visitors played? who danced until 8 am? more videos?

It's a shame to see all the "new decor" in fact it's sacrilegious. Looks like everyone had fun though.

SRO, summer 1986. Best summer of my life. :-) It was just as awesome as Starck!
