I noticed 2 unusual glitches while playing this chapter:

If you finish a battle using Kaguya's Hourai Barrage, the game sometimes skips her first turn in the next battle you get into.

If you finish a battle while Mokou is charging Flare, the game locks up the next time you get in a battle.

I have come up with two possibilities for Ran's hidden boss.

One of course is Yukari. The second one pits the kitsune shikigami against none other than SUPPATENKO!

There was also some stuff from Shang's chapter but it didn't look important.

I think what he showed in Shang is just extra text, a little bit of which I showed too. The video is apparently of the "Additional Events" from Gatekeeper to Hourai.

I noticed the other Mokou boss while translating the base, but forgot that it wasn't in the videos and assumed it was a required thing. By the time I reached the end, I had forgotten about it. I don't think it would've fit into the videos very well anyway.

As cool as that could potentially be, Koki's last Hong video (where Ray Jihad is actually named) predates the final version of Subterranean Animism by a few months.

Besides, Reiuji is her REAL name, so that would be a bit silly if things went similarly to the original.

Not to say that Utsuho (and other Touhou 11/12 characters) can't show up, of course...

+10 Strength and Wisdom. There's nothing else there. (Also, I hadn't changed to 0.04 yet, so I couldn't leave the mansion and had to end the video after the battle.)

In the video in which Koki watched the news (I suspect that was his reason for it), he put a chart at the end of when the scenarios take place, and a lot of them are around the same time. So there's likely to be more connections like that in the future.

Anyway, I guess this answers my question from the last video. So, uh, how exactly does Mokou plan to de-liquefy Kaguya, anyhow? (I'm assuming the cylinder full of yellow stuff from 3:43 to 3:58 is supposed to be her.) Also, I love how the Chimera's Megabite can even hit those little blindspots in its range. (lolbug) Does attacking it from behind kill it in one hit, or what?

I kind of figured Chen would be the side kick in the Ran scenario, seeing how the bitter enemies teaming up aspect of it was sort of absorbed into this one.

I do agree Ultimate Chenmera would be awesome though.

I'm pretty sure Ran's going to be too badass for Chen to help her out. And I'm not sure if who she teams up with will be a mortal enemy or not.

If you check the production BBS, you'll find that it originally WAS sprited as Chenmira. But for whatever reason (something about the Bio Base? or "bio-based"?), it was resprited into this. I was pretty disappointed, too.

The Mokou story was pretty nice. The ending confused me though, isn't Kaguya immortal? And how'd they return to the past?

"Meanwhile, IN THE PAST" is just my way of saying "I reloaded a save from before the base." Nothing to do with the plot.

There's no real explanation of what happens to Kaguya; maybe she got liquefied, maybe she's just trapped under rubble or something. I would have a way of knowing for sure, but Koki seems to have changed the ending significantly since then... (I'll add that to the description now.)

And I'm sure all of the optional bosses added are beatable somehow [usually by grinding to max level]. They were in LaL, even if they were bloody hard sometimes. I'm curious to see the SDS, but... *Shrug*

Also, yay Cirno! Although that's not gonna be as awesome as this was. ...Maybe.
