Looks to me like he's combined the looks of the LH (the "SL/R 5000" titles on the front guards) with the LX (the reversed bonnet scoop and the big "SL/R 5000" across the rear spoiler).
The LH SL/R 5000 had square headlights. The L34 LH (these were the version which raced at Bathurst with minimal modification from that which the public could purchase) had round headlights, like the LX. The droptank with straps was an aftermarket addition, the "race" versions were bolted through the same points as a towbar and were a different shape.
The vehicle featured has a centre console which L34's were not equipped with.
Nice car, but Bathurst edition SLR5000...? No such thing, there was the L34 and A9X, and this is neither of those...500 cars and only 30 left? Having a drop tank doesn't make it the real deal either, if it did, there would be a shit load more than 30 left.

That Holden IS a cool car, but it is only the power-to-weight ratio and an ernest 340+ horsepower that makes it fast. We can't go forgetting about the '69/'70 Dodge Daytona, which was banned from NASCAR after half of a season because it was deemed "too fast". What motor does it have? Is it the L34 or L31, because no factory edition came out with the L34 308 motor. If it is a genuine Brock Bathurst edition like you say it is, it will have the L34 308 motor in it, instead of the factory L31 308.

Only 380 LX A9X,s were ever built, and Im not sure if its true or not but I read that there were a few, and only a few built in 4 door format and these are rare as hens teeth now. But in all honestly Brockie is most famous for his A9X LX Marlboro torana and VK group C Marlboro commodore. The A9X shot him to fame with 3 consecutive wins in 77 78 79 and stamped his authority on the mount...the blue oval was shattered.
@sbolandatutube The L34 four door Toranas won in 75 and 76. The A9X two door won in 78 and 79. The A9X raced but didn't win in 77...it was that horribly orchestrated "one, two" with Moffat and the Hardtops. Great race strategy by Ford...block the track with two very wide cars side-by-side!!
Although it has been admitted by even Brockie that the A9X just wasn't quite ready to win in 77. He would show them all in 78 and follow up to cement the Torana as King by winning by six laps in 79.

@johnnosk - You're thinking of the LJ model that Peter Brock drove to victory at Bathurst in '72. That was based on a Vauxhall Viva, with a stretched nose that housed a 202 CID inline six, not a V6.

Only 380 LX A9X,s were ever built, and Im not sure if its true or not but I read that there were a few, and only a few built in 4 door format and these are rare as hens teeth now. But in all honestly Brockie is most famous for his A9X LX Marlboro torana and VK group C Marlboro commodore. The A9X shot him to fame with 3 consecutive wins in 77 78 79 and stamped his authority on the mount...the blue oval was shattered.

@sbolandatutube The L34 four door Toranas won in 75 and 76. The A9X two door won in 78 and 79. The A9X raced but didn't win in 77...it was that horribly orchestrated "one, two" with Moffat and the Hardtops. Great race strategy by Ford...block the track with two very wide cars side-by-side!!
Although it has been admitted by even Brockie that the A9X just wasn't quite ready to win in 77. He would show them all in 78 and follow up to cement the Torana as King by winning by six laps in 79.

FAB The bathurst race car was the A9X 2DOOR AND 4Door im sure could be wrong but the A9X is alot rarrer than the slr 5000 my uncle had a black slr had a freak 308 muncie 4speed with a hurst shifter and 10bolt salirbury diff then he sold it to his younger bro and he changed it alot ended up making it a white and black slr5000 very nice car he was spewiwn he sold it over 10 years ago now

@johnnosk - You're thinking of the LJ model that Peter Brock drove to victory at Bathurst in '72. That was based on a Vauxhall Viva, with a stretched nose that housed a 202 CID inline six, not a V6.

To be fair Pete, the only way to tell if it was a genuine Brock edition would be to check the vin number.. regardless of if it has the drop tank or anything else the sheer amount of SLR 5000 replicas makes it hard to find genuine articles without having to do a VIN check.
