After Seymore Johnson's death the club knew they would need to leave his property. the club was given the track to find a new location but they had some disagreements and part of the club split up and became the Ventura County Live Steamers while the other half remained the Goleta Valley RR Club. Ventura was kicked out of their property and currently has no track and Goleta Valley never found a location and wasted the thousands and thousands of dollers left to them.
