Steele said he thought that Obama's attempt to bring the Olympics (jobs) to the USA was, "not necessary." A smart remark is the only way to respond to something so dumb. Why bother arguing with a bunch of Republicans who hate Obama so much that they'll try to stop the Olympics from bringing money, jobs and prestige to the USA simply because the President is involved?

Absolutely. It makes no sense at all to say that looking into a possible hosting for 2016 takes away from efforts to generate jobs now. If he puts in the winning bid, efforts will begin right away to get the city ready, and that WILL create jobs. Meanwhile, the people he has assigned to brainstorm solutions on other fronts are still at work. It is not like Obama will personally be interviewing every job applicant anyway. Chicago needs some rebuilding anyway, so why not at least try?

Do your research. The audits on the past olympics has stated that the city that hosted them have actually lost money not gained. And why does it have to be Chicago why not any other city? Maybe because Obama has lobbyists who have land in Chicago that are going to profit huge if they are hosted there.
