The staff there tried hard to convince me across 2 visits but I never bought it. A week later I totally understood it and fell in love. Rushed to get a copy and it was gone. What if I take this tune and mix some hardcore techno beats and a robotic voice in it? Yeah it would be crap, but what would you call that genre then? Du you create a new one called techstep just for you tu be able to categorize it?

There's 2 main genres for me, commercial crap for generating money and good music that will bring money too but the first aim should be that an artist want's to express himself (or herself). Rest of the productions aren't made by artists but audio-prostitutes.

This is not Garage, just becuase a track is played with other garage tunes does not define it's genre. The tune is made from breakbeats. Many tunes crossover, but this is a Nu-skool Breaks, Breakbeat, Breaks or what ever you want to call it. STyles/Genres of dance music are generally defined by the beat used. I originaly thought it was called 138 due to the beat pattern but then 128 and 174 trek wouldnt make sense.

But this is not garage, breaks and garage are both set at roughly the same tempo. You have just totaly contradicted yourself, you just said yourself the tune is made using breakbeat, for it to be garage it would have to be a 2step garaeg beat, the reason why it has crossed over is becuase its got a grage style bline and is same tempo.

The reason why I'm so bothered about genre is becuase I hate Garage, mainly becuase of the crowd that went with it, peopel who listened to Jungle and then stopped and went stright to garage becuase it was more in fashion, are the ones who are uneducated about music and calling a breaks tune garage, becuase they don't understand about beats and how music is classified. Breakbeat is not garage, sand is not water, just becuase you put sand in a glass doesn't mean you can drink it.
