  • this video ,,,i like they

  • dedication ill give yah that burrr looks cold nice catch !!!

  • Ill bet its NOTHING but cold there! I dont want to know the windchill. But ill tackle the cold and stay put in one spot where I know a warm room is pending, than retreat from a hurricane and come back home with a blown off roof, and no power in swealtering 95 degree heat with 90 degree humidity making a 110 heat index for 10 days! The price you pay the gulf-coast states. GREAT footage BTW, love the sound of thoes GEEPS! :D

  • @Landaux If only someone could replicate that classic gp sound for MSTS :)

  • January 7, 2008? that was my sister's birthday and turned 11. She's turning 13 in January

  • Awsome! A K5LA on an IC GP! 5* & a fav!

  • This reminds me of the old days. My feet get COLD just watching this... LOL

  • nice video, thanks

  • Great Job with filming and intigrating the radio traffic from your scanner to the shot. Keep up the good work - More Switching Please

  • One of my favarite IC engins, the rusted 9630 to bad its been repainted.

  • I love switching vids... I grew up close to a yard and used to listen to them banging trains together while lying in bed. The sound sooths me... Yeah, I'm weird.

  • I saw two old Seaboard coastline freight cars at behind engines....that went out of business...parts that run thru are area to south carolina is own by CXS now to atlanta...

  • you are a true rail faner to be in the snow!

  • If you live in Illinois, Michigan or other northern states, you get used to it very fast.

  • I live in Wisconsin

  • great video man..

  • Don't You Think You Can Keep A Few Things To Yourself? Geez.

  • This vid starts out with an IC engine and two L&N cars... sweeeet train watching, man!

  • Yep, two good roads in one train!

  • CSXUSANO1 (2 months ago) Show Hide -1 Marked as spam Reply | Spam Is that a Canadian National train? Just wondering becuse those Canadians are being protected by those American RR cars just like we took care of them in Afghanastan an Iraq. Thye hide we fight. They do clean up and we move into battle again. Hey inside of every Candian there is an American crying to get out!

    You truly are an idiot!!!

  • Not true at all. Even though some Canadians are of french ancestry, they are not to be confused with actual french people.

  • @ruarc2077 Great job thank's enjoyed very much :)

  • kool ic

  • the reason for the unique stacks is because of the icg's paducah shop rebuilding program in the late 70's & 80's, don't think this loco was rebuilt but those exhaust stacks are definatllty unique to the ic & other railroads that had locos rebuilt at icg's paducah shop

  • Thanks for the info Randy! That is the first thing I noticed about the loco because I had never seen anything like that before.

  • Awsome job LOVE it Favorited!

  • thanks Adam!

  • Great job! Deffinately favorited.

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked.

  • Nice vid. Good to see a switching scene for a change.

  • Thanks! Yes, I thought so too. I hope to do more.

  • thought IC went under? doesnt C@NW run in rockford too actually its UP now

  • Yes the IC did go under, CN bought them in about 2000, but they have left quite a few units in the IC scheme. CN also has Grand Trunk, Bessemer & lake Erie Wisconsin Central, among others, and they seem to not be in much of a hurry to repaint them, because there are still quite a few units in these schemes running around. Yep! UP does run up to Rockford. I think its a MON, WED, FRI job.

  • IC did NOT go under. The fact is that the IC was bought to get the management team of IC, that being - E. Hunter Harrison. Ther comapny made a great move (from a shareholders perspective). The integration is seen in all thge yards as the buildings, towrs and even some CN clothing is a grey and red colour scheme..

  • AWESOME!

  • Thanks!

  • YEAH! i love the first shot!

  • how often does the ICE run to Rockford and why is it hard to catch

  • Well first off I don't really know their schedule. And I've also heard that it is really hard to keep up with them in Rockford itself.

  • Cool video with all the scanner chatter

  • Thanks, yea, I lwas glad I got that to. I think from now on with switching vids, I will try and get the crew talking if I have the scanner.

  • Hey can you try and shoot the ICE in Rockford sometime please

  • I can try, but that job is hard to catch I've already tried lol

  • Hey thanks for the info im subscribing to you

  • no problem, thanks!

  • what kinds of cars go to titan tires boxcars or flatcars

  • Well, thay get Boxcars, Carbon Black Cars (Shortened hopper cars) and tank cars, I think the tanks are for waste. If you are interested in seeing carbon black cars, check out the video I have called something like "IC GP38 Working Hard"

  • what is titan tires and do you know what the crews name were and what was the temp that day

  • Titanb Tires is a place that makes tractor tires. Conductor is Gerry (pronounced Jerry) and the Engineer is Johnny. I don't want to give their last names online, but they are both great guys. In between the first and second scenes ath the Ethanol Plant, Gerry and I talked for 2 or 3 minutes. I don't really know what the air temp was, maybe 35, but the wind made it extremely cold!

  • how many days a week does this train run

  • Well thae train runs from Freeport to Rockord (East) on Mon, Wed, and Fri, and they run to Titan Tires (Just East of Freeport) Usually on Mon-Sat, and the come to Lena, and the ethanol plant on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. The first move in this vid is very rare, those 2 grain cars came from a FS plase just to the left of that crossing. That was the first shipment of cars they got in over 2 years.

  • The horn on that GP38 sounds like something off the WSOR or really it sounds like an old

F40PH horn. Nice video and I appreciate it since you prolly went out in some extreme cold.

  • Thanks Andrew! Air temps were not terrible, but the wind made it bone chilling!

  • great video when was this shot though what day

  • Thanks! It was taken this past Saturday, i will add that in the vid info.

  • Well I caught a CN train yesterday and it was so windy my camera almost fell out of my hand when it passed by...

  • I think the wind noise adds to the shot man. Great job it had to be cold out there!

  • trust me it was! lol
