The opening "Best of the Joe Franklin Show" notice was V/O'd by Phil Tonken, who'd been with Channel 9 at the point Joe joined the station in 1962, up to Phil's 1989 retirement.

I never met my grandad, but I'm still extremely fond of him, my uncle said he spoke just like Bing Crosby, so thank's for uploading this, i keep coming back and listening to his voice, trying to put it with my grandads face. I know it sound's crazy.. but.. :)
