Growing up? We would go to the neighbors house and use their PRIVATE pool and then go right back to the block and play handball on the wall of my building. We grew up with all types of kids from different countries and we would eat the most bangin food you can think of. We would play help tag till it turned midnight and wouldn't have to worry about some heroing addicted rapist on the loose. Our schools are better and we were getting money thanks to the Colombians/Ecuadorians at 14 years old.
You speak of QUeens as if it's all the SAME everywhere in QUeens. I've been to every borough in all seasons, from Forham Road in the Bronx, Pitt Street in Manhattan to Jersey Street in Staten Island.
QUeens is the only place where you will find DECENT, Stand up, New Yorkers.
You talk of hood rat shit: hanging out in the front doing nothing with 39 other do nothingers, running trains on smuts on rooftops, like its a good thing. Sounds like alot of people with TOO much free time.
Walk anywhere along roosevelt avenue in QUeens and tell me it's suburban. The only people that live suburbanly in QUeens are BLACK PEOPLE. White people in QUeens? You tell me where there are white people cause I cant find em. The only place that has NO (or very little to none) white people is the Bronx and look at that place, anyone in their right mind that would like to raise a family in the Bronx has a few loose marbles or there in a tight money situation.
