    but mera dil hidustani hain!...:)

  • I feel like crying .This is sad.

  • This is a very touching video, It bring a lot of emotion in me Very good presentation. I love it Ashok

  • @bjdesaine Thanks so much for your reply and for the music info!

  • @bjdesaine: Thank you so much for these images of our very hard working ancestors. Some of them I hadn't seen before. I love the music too.

  • @dazzlingdes Thank you for your kind comments. The music is by Anil Kant. You can find more of his music if you search for his name on youtube. God bless!

  • @bjdesaine Mr Desaine I would like to know how can I obtain a pic of my Great Grandfather he came over from India and I was told their pics were taken at the ports with their Immigration ship # as seen in your video?

  • @Kshatriya4u77 I am sorry. I wish I could help you but the photos of the jahagis at the port shown in my presentation were part of a clip from a BBC documentary on Indentureship in Guyana. I am not sure how to obtain what you are looking for. If you do find out I would be grateful if you would let me know so I too can look into this prospect. God bless!

  • @bjdesaine Thanks for sharing. Great Work.

  • I am from Mauritius. When i see this video, i find that our history are so similar. Our Anccestors were from India and we have to be proud of what we are. Through hard and arduous labour everything becomes possible. By the way bjsaine, from where have u got such a rich collection of images. I love them....May i have your permission to use some of them??

  • @starbuksss The pictures were taken off various websites on the internet. They are all of East Indians in Trinidad. Initially I was searching for pictures for a school project so I did not record the websites I visited. I subsequently made this video. No copyright infrigement was intended. As the pictures are not mines I don't believe I have the authority to give you permission. Sorry. You may have to search for the proper sources to make your request. Good luck and God bless you.

  • To the person who added this beautiful piece of our history please remove this ignorant fool REDDYLION from adding comments he's nothing but an ignorant child who knows nothing about our history and he has nothing better to do. If not I'll have U Tube remove him for abusive slander

  • @Kshatriya4u77 Thank you for your defence of this presentation. While I understand and share your concern, it is good for us to be reminded that not everyone celebrates the richness of our history and heritage. Additionally, I think people like Reddylion should only make us feel proud to be children of the diaspora since alternatively some of us could have been just as arrogant and ignoble had we been born in India. He deserves our pity because he is unaware of the blessings we enjoy here!

  • @ Reddylion I'm not here to argue with you I'm an educated man you have so much hate and anger in you, it is sad to see you call yourself even a Hindu. Why are you so bitter? You're actually acting like a kid from your comments. By the way Indians born outside of India who's ancestors came as Indentured Laborers have come a long way, We the descendants are Business owners, Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, Leaders, we strive only for the best by how we were raised. By the way RAM RAM!!!

  • @ Reddylion you call yourself a believer of Jesus Christ I think not my friend Jesus does not spread hate among his people I'm a Christian our belief is so far from your hateful tongue. Educate yourself before you open your mouth the Jahagis came from all parts of India and were from all caste. I will pray for you and May Jesus fill your heart and soul with love my friend not all this hatred. Please do not ever use my Lords name in vain again have a blessed day.

  • @Kshatriya4u77 when the hell did i say i call myself believer of Jesus !! i am a hindu. MOST jahagis are NOTH INDIAN LOW CASTE PEOPLE. YOU LEARN THE FACTS. thanks for your prayers and let jesus, ram, vishnu help u too.

  • whats to be proud of this video bloody north indian slaves shame on you lowlife pests.

    proud indian.

  • @Reddylion Thank you for your comment. A wise man once said, "We are each burdened with prejudice: against the poor or the rich; the smart or the slow; the gaunt or the obese; the admirable or the contemptible. It is natural to develop prejudices but it is noble to rise above them." Sir, it is your right to burden yourself with your own prejudices and opinions. However, your comment shows everyone just how noble you are.

  • @bjdesaine i still ill stick on to what i commented before. have a nice day.

  • @Reddylion The world should be ashamed that there are still individuals like yourself around. Wake up, there is no place for racism here, and when you do wake up, you will realize how small and insignificant is your opinion.

  • @othondafos ok bloody lowlife slave. now get lost.

  • @Reddylion Hey, I am NOT an Indian, which is to show your ignorance, and the only Master I serve is Jesus. Unfortunately for you, YOU will get lost if you continue on this path.

  • @othondafos i DONT CARE who the hell you are right now. bye...

  • congrats...these pictures say more than a thousand words....such a video should be in all classrooms, libraries, tv stations.....well researched....very effective in making us understand who we are....where our forefathers came from...what they endured...will be showing to my school....

  • @copified Thank you for your kind words. Please feel free to share with anyone who you think will benefit form it. God bless!

  • @bjdesaine hey can we run this at the divali nagar? i am vice-chairperson of the hindu student's council of trinidad and tobago and out theme for this year may be ' the light of the jahajis'

  • @triniduttyboi Certainly. I would be honoured if you do. However, I only ask that you kindly ensure that the presentation is not edited in any way. God bless you.

  • Really makes me value everything we have today and how far we've come thanks to our forefathers a must see for all the generations to come

  • amazing recreation!!!!! it brings tears to my eyes everytime i watch it. i am so inspired and proud of the ancestors that sustained such a treacherous journey and came to a new land. i admire their strenght and courage, but most of all their faith and devotion. it is because of them that our dharma and our heritage is alive and thriving in western civilization!!!!

    congradulations on a wonderful production!!!

  • Thank you for your kind words. God bless!

  • this is well done, where did you get the video footage?

  • The footage is, off course, not real. I took clips from various Black & White sources to create the illusion that it is real. One of these sources was a documentary entitled "Coolies - How Britain reinvented slavery". I also found footage taken by tourist during the 1930's. I was able to edit these using VirtualDub.

  • Pretty neat video, I remember the days of sugar cane.

  • Thank you. I too remember those days... the industry was only closed a few years ago.
