@matrixloader Actually, this is a Daewoo, that's why it's made in Korea. GM owns Daewoo. It's cheaper for them to use an existing Daewoo rebadged as a Chevy than to make a whole new car from scratch. Everyone does it.

b) I announce you that such a thing exist that's called power/weight ratio.

A 160 hp/1600 kg car goes like a 80 hp 800 kg car, while wasting a lot less fuel.

@Mawerik024 Even though the power to weight is the same, the heavier car that has more hp will have greater terminal velocity (top speed) if the cd of drag isn't to much more than the lighter car, the faster the heavier car goes the more it will out accelerate over the light car. Reducing CO2 will do nothing for the environment as CO2 is believe it or not good for the environment. Global worming/greenhouse effect is just a global scam to make people feel guilty so companies can sell there shit.

I'm expecting a lot more than just 40 mpg out of a 1.2L, 2200lbs vehicle.... Didn't the Metro make over 50mpg? I think the engine was similar size, but I think it weighed much less though. Well... I think those things only put out like 65hp, huh?

But still, there are better options for 40mpg, assuming price isn't the deciding factor.

@asdfgoogle In Italy the top-of-the-range Spark costs 12.305€. 16.612$ at the actual conversion rate. But in USA that's gonna cost much less, you got lower taxes and you pay less at the tolls, etc.

I guess it's gonna sit around 12-13k.

@Mawerik024 I'm not too sure what the cheapest new car we have here in the US is. Prob a Hyundai Accent or Toyota Yaris, Chevy Sonic or Ford Fiesta. Oh yeah, and the Fiat 500.... something similar to those. I think they all range from like $13,000 to $15,000 USD for base model. I'd have to assume that since the Spark is even smaller and uses a few hundred pounds less of material, it'll prob only cost like $11,000.

But Did you know that on average we use 10 times the energy per person than the Chinese? We also make way more money than other countries. Thus in order to compete with Korean Cars, and German cars we have to build cars in Germany and Korea. Hence the Chevy Spark and the Buick regal. Although the regal is suppose to come the the states.But it is also more expensive
