Do you iskcon guys have any similarly ecstatic drumming kirtans where you sing a little more than hare krishna hare ram. I feel you guys keep it simple due to large foreign devotee population to sing along, but us indians would be able to appreciate more lyrics. Till then I'm going to feel more ishq/prem listening to nusrat's qawalis due to more lyrical content

oh this is so incredibly beautiful - I have been dancing around the house as I perform my weekend housekeeping - just as when I was living in Mayapur in 75/76 where I danced enthusiastically to the wonderful Kirtans (and even though we tried to hide behind the columns to dance discretely I and the other girls were told to stop because it agitated the brahmacaris hahaha - fortunately times have changed :) Thankyou so much for this extended recording which allows one to fully capture the mood.

I love Mayapur so much....been maybe 5 years since i was last there but i remember it so clearly Intense Kirtans and all the Devotees jumping around and dancing so Beautiful.

Thank you. Unfortunately, the sound is what it is. I recorded with a single stereo microphone. Most of my recordings are done multi-track and so I can control the volume of individual instruments/vocals. But I already had too much equipment on this trip to India so... Not much I can do about the volume of Naru Gopal's voice.
